In the gentle golden sunshine of the historic August, walking along the central road of Tan Ky commune, one can easily spot villagers busily cleaning up, planting more flowers along the roadside, and beautifying the landscape. In Tan Da hamlet, groups of people are working together to repaint the village gate, hang national flags, etc., creating an atmosphere that is both urgent and lively.
This congress marks a special milestone as four administrative units have been united. We, the people, place high hopes on the new leadership team to foster unity, innovation, and further comprehensive development in Tan Ky. Therefore, even small actions like improving village roads and beautifying the landscape are ways for the people to contribute to celebrating the congress.

The atmosphere of preparation for the congress permeated everywhere. In the village cultural centers, where Party branch meetings were held, people enthusiastically discussed the contents of the Draft Political Report. Many practical ideas, stemming from real-life experiences, were contributed by Party members and the people to improve the document. The spirit of democracy and responsibility was clearly demonstrated in each meeting and each ballot.
Following its establishment through the merger of four administrative units (Kỳ Tân, Nghĩa Dũng, Kỳ Sơn, and Tân Kỳ town), Tân Kỳ commune has become one of the largest administrative units. The commune currently comprises 25 hamlets and villages; covers a natural area of 116.5 km²; has a population of nearly 33,000 people; and has 65 grassroots Party organizations with over 2,000 Party members.
During the 2020-2025 term, despite numerous general challenges, Tan Ky commune still made its mark with outstanding achievements. The economy maintained a relatively high growth rate, per capita income increased rapidly, reaching a level higher than the target set in the resolution. Total social investment is estimated at approximately 2,500 billion VND. Socio-economic infrastructure was invested in comprehensively, with many key projects completed, practically serving development and the lives of the people.
The New Rural Development Program has achieved many results: 3 previously undeveloped communes have met the new rural development standards, 1 commune has met the advanced new rural development standards, and the town has basically met the criteria for a civilized urban area. Industry and construction continue to develop, with strengths in sugar production, building materials, and garment manufacturing. Commercial services, credit, transportation, and postal and telecommunications services are expanding rapidly, contributing to improving the appearance of the new urban area.
Fortunately, the entire commune currently has 136 registered businesses, providing stable employment for thousands of workers and making a significant contribution to the local budget.
In the socio-cultural field, the percentage of schools meeting national standards reached 11 out of 12; cultural, artistic, and sports movements developed strongly; and the poverty rate decreased to 1.4%. Healthcare and public health services received attention; national defense and security were maintained, and social order remained stable.
It can be said that these achievements have created a solid foundation and strengthened the people's confidence for a new period of development.
Congress of aspirations and beliefs
The First Congress of the Tan Ky Commune Party Committee, for the term 2025-2030, set the following overall goals: Building a clean, strong, and comprehensive Party and political system; developing the potential and advantages of the locality; promoting economic restructuring associated with high-tech agriculture, trade and services, and the digital economy; focusing on socio-cultural development; maintaining national defense and security; and resolutely striving to bring about rapid and sustainable development for Tan Ky commune.
The Congress set specific targets for 2030: Average economic growth rate of 11-12% per year. Average per capita income reaching 100-110 million VND. Average poverty reduction of 0.1-0.2% per year. Forest cover reaching 45%. Over 96% of the population participating in health insurance. An additional 4-6 OCOP products achieving 3-star or higher standards. Over 95% of commune-level roads being paved. Striving for communes to achieve new rural standards by the end of the term.

The Congress clearly identified that sustainable development requires well-structured planning and synchronized infrastructure. Therefore, focusing on completing the general construction plan for Tan Ky commune for the period 2025-2030 and the orientation to 2045 is a key task.
Based on the planning, the commune will mobilize maximum resources to invest in infrastructure: from transportation, irrigation, electricity, water to schools, health stations, markets, cultural and sports facilities, and digital transformation infrastructure.
