Typhoon No. 5 battered the Nghe An area for many hours, causing heavy property damage. Many cars in the wards of the former Vinh city were crushed by trees or had their windows shattered after the storm.
On Nguyen Sy Sach Street in Thanh Vinh Ward, many large trees were uprooted by the storm. Several cars parked along the road were crushed by falling trees.Some cars were dented by glass falling from tall buildings.A car in the neighborhood was hit by a collapsing wall at the Song Lam Club's training ground.Many cars had their windows shattered by falling windows from the apartment building.Many cars were damaged due to the wall collapsing.No specific damage figures are available yet; however, it is estimated that hundreds of cars parked around apartment complexes, high-rise buildings, and some large trees were affected by Typhoon No. 5, with trees falling and windows and roofing sheets falling onto the vehicles.Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 5 (Typhoon Kajiki), many localities in Nghe An province experienced heavy rain and strong winds, causing hundreds of trees to be uprooted, including many old trees, resulting in serious traffic congestion on some key roads.Hundreds of trees were uprooted, power poles were broken, and Nghe An province experienced widespread power outages.As of 5:30 AM on August 26th, preliminary statistics show that Nghe An province has not reported any fatalities due to the storm. There was only one fatal electrocution on August 24th while repairing a roof to protect against the storm, two people were injured, 91 houses were damaged (many had their roofs blown off), nine classrooms at two schools had their roofs blown off, and one medical facility also had its roof blown off.
