Dear delegates!
Today, in the sacred and heroic atmosphere of the August Revolution days, we solemnly celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Eighty years ago, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, beloved President Ho Chi Minh solemnly read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the first People's Democratic State in Southeast Asia, opening an era of independence and freedom for the country. From that historic moment, the Vietnamese people embarked on a new journey: building a People's Government, defending the Fatherland, leading the country steadily forward on the path of Socialism, for the goal of "A rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization".
In this sacred moment, we respectfully remember our ancestors.,Expressing infinite gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh; gratitude to revolutionary predecessors, millions of compatriots and soldiers who sacrificed and contributed to the independence, freedom, reunification of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.
We will forever remember the contributions of Vietnamese heroic mothers, war veterans, wounded and sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions; and engrave in our hearts the contributions of workers, farmers, businessmen, intellectuals, artists, the elderly, youth, women, children, people of all religions and ethnicities, our compatriots abroad, friends and progressive people around the world who have stood shoulder to shoulder, helped and supported the just revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese people over the past eighty years.
Tổ quốc Việt Nam là kết tinh của truyền thống văn hiến nghìn năm dựng nước và giữ nước; của bản lĩnh kiên cường, trí tuệ,lòng nhân ái và khát vọng vươn lên. Tinh thần ấy đã hun đúc nên sức mạnh vĩ đại của Cách mạng Tháng Tám; của hai cuộc kháng chiến trường kỳ chống thực dân, đế quốc; của công cuộc xây dựng và bảo vệ Tổ quốc trong hòa bình; của sự nghiệp đổi mới, hội nhập quốc tế và phát triển đất nước. Đó là sức mạnh bắt nguồn từ Nhân dân, thuộc về Nhân dân, vì Nhân dân; sức mạnh của khối đại đoàn kết toàn dân tộc dưới ngọn cờ vẻ vang của Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam do Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh sáng lập, lãnh đạo và rèn luyện.
Chúng ta tự hào khẳng định rằng: Mọi thắng lợi của cách mạng Việt Nam đều gắn liền với vai trò lãnh đạo đúng đắn, sáng suốt của Đảng và tư tưởng, đạo đức, phong cách Hồ Chí Minh. Đảng ta, đội tiên phong của giai cấp công nhân, đồng thời là đội tiên phong của Nhân dân lao động và của dân tộc Việt Nam, luôn kiên định mục tiêu độc lập dân tộc gắn liền với chủ nghĩa xã hội; vận dụng và phát triển sáng tạo chủ nghĩa Mác-Lênin, tư tưởng Hồ Chí Minh phù hợp với thực tiễn đất nước qua từng giai đoạn; đặt lợi ích của Tổ quốc, của Nhân dân lên trên hết, trước hết. Nhờ đó, dân tộc ta vượt qua muôn vàn khó khăn thử thách; nước ta từ nước thuộc địa trở thành một quốc gia độc lập, thống nhất, đang vững bước tiến lên hiện đại, hội nhập sâu rộng; vị thế, uy tín ngày càng được khẳng định trên trường quốc tế.
Dear đồng bào, đồng chí!
Nhiệm vụ bảo vệ độc lập, chủ quyền, toàn vẹn lãnh thổ của Tổ quốc; giữ gìn an ninh, trật tự, an toàn xã hội để phát triển đất nước nhanh, bền vững; không ngừng nâng cao đời sống và hạnh phúc của Nhân dân đang là mệnh lệnh hành động của chúng ta. Thực hiện thành công ba mục tiêu đó, chính là hoàn thành ước nguyện của Bác Hồ trước lúc đi xa: “Điều mong muốn cuối cùng của Tôi là: toàn đảng, toàn dân ta đoàn kết phấn đấu, xây dựng một nước Việt Nam hòa bình, thống nhất, độc lập, dân chủ và giàu mạnh, và góp phần xứng đáng vào sự nghiệp Cách mạng thế giới”.
Through the 80 years of hardship but heroic journey, we have affirmed the truth: under the glorious flag of the Party, with the light of Ho Chi Minh guiding the way, relying on the strength of the People and the great national unity, there is no difficulty or challenge that our People cannot overcome; there is no noble goal that our nation cannot achieve. Therefore, there is no obstacle, no reason that can stop us from reaching peace, prosperity, our nation's longevity and development.
Looking to the future, our Party sets the goal that by 2045, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country, Vietnam will be a powerful, prosperous and happy nation. That is the aspiration of the entire nation, an oath of honor before History and the People.
I call on the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army, and our compatriots at home and abroad, through concrete and practical actions, to unite, join forces, and be of one mind, to turn aspirations into reality; to make more efforts and be more determined; to highly promote Vietnamese intelligence, creativity, and mettle; and to successfully carry out the goals and tasks set forth by the Party and State and expected by the People.
We are determined and persistent in defending the independence, freedom, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland with the combined strength of the entire nation: political, economic, cultural, scientific, technological, military, foreign affairs strength, and the strength of the people. We want to be friends and reliable partners with all countries in the world. We respect international law and the United Nations Charter; resolve disagreements and disputes by peaceful means. We absolutely do not give in to any plots and actions that violate independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity; and resolutely and firmly protect national and ethnic interests.
Dearcoppercell, comrade!
In this sacred moment, each of us seems to hear the echo of Uncle Ho's 1945 Declaration of Independence, to see millions of Vietnamese hearts beating with pride, to resound the oath "to die for the survival of the Fatherland". We understand more and more the value of "Independence", "Freedom", "Happiness"; we value and are more determined to cultivate peace; we deeply understand the sacred meaning of the words "My People", "My Fatherland".
Once again, I respectfully bow before the spirit of the great President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who have incarnated into the country and the sacred soul of the nation.
I would like to send my warmest congratulations to my compatriots, comrades, soldiers nationwide, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Long live Vietnam; Peaceful Vietnam, Prosperous and Developed Vietnamese People.

Long live the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam.
