Before the round,U17 Song Lam Nghe Ancurrently has 12 points after 7 matches, temporarily ranked second in Group B. Right behind is U17 Thep Xanh Nam Dinh with 10 points. Therefore, the confrontation between the two teams is of great significance to the competition for a ticket to the final round.

In the first leg, the representative from Nghe An won 5-0, so experts assessed that coach Hai Nam and his team continued to be in the "upper hand". However, given the importance of the match, the U17 SLNA coaching staff chose the strongest lineup. The 4-4-1-1 formation was applied, with Van Sang playing the highest, supported by a midfield line of Minh Thuy, Huy Hoang, Minh Loi, Ngoc Son and Van Lam. The defense included Anh Duc, Thanh Cong, Van Tu and Dang Huy.

Right from the start of the match, U17 Song Lam Nghe An proactively raised their formation and organized pressing. The continuous pressure made the goal of U17 Thep Xanh Nam Dinh shake many times. However, the lack of precision in finishing situations and the element of luck prevented the Nghe An team from opening the score early.

The clearest chance came at the end of the first half. Striker Van Sang was fouled in the penalty area, the referee immediately pointed to the penalty spot. Unfortunately, Minh Thuy's shot failed to hit the net, causing the first half to end with a score of 0-0.

Entering the second half, U17 SLNA increased the pressure with the determination to break the deadlock. Coach Hai Nam's students proactively increased the tempo, pressed the entire field and continuously exploited the gaps in the opponent's defense.

In a fast-paced play, Van Lam was fouled by a Nam Dinh defender in the penalty area. On the 11m mark, he was the one who successfully finished, putting U17 SLNA ahead 1-0. The goal helped to relieve the spirit of the Nghe players, while also putting pressure on the opponent.

Not stopping there, coach Hai Nam and his team continued to maintain their attacking style. In the final minute of the match, thanks to Ngoc Son's skillful handling, causing a Nam Dinh defender to commit a foul, U17 SLNA was awarded a penalty for the third time. Minh Thuy - who had missed the opportunity in the first half - successfully converted the penalty, sealing a 2-0 victory for the Nghe An team.

This important victory helped U17 Song Lam Nghe An get 15 points, 4 points more than the 3rd ranked team, U17 Dong A Thanh Hoa. With this advantage, coach Hai Nam and his team only need to gain 1 more point in the last 2 matches to be sure to participate in the final round of the 2025 National U17 Tournament.

It can be said that the victory over U17 Thep Xanh Nam Dinh not only helped U17 SLNA consolidate their second place in Group B, but also opened the door to the round for the strongest U17 teams nationwide. This is also a worthy achievement for the persistent efforts of the Nghe An youth team throughout the qualifying round.
