Coffee price today September 8, 2025: Domestic price decreased less than world price
Coffee prices today, September 8, are at 112,000 - 113,300 VND/kg. Coffee prices have decreased by nearly 10,000 VND compared to last week, but still less than the world coffee price.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices today, September 8, 2025, in the Central Highlands region remained unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 112,000 - 113,300 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 113,300 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Similarly, coffee prices in Dak Lak province are at 113,200 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged from yesterday and were traded at VND112,800/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged from yesterday at VND112,000/kg.

At the end of last week, coffee prices in the Central Highlands region dropped sharply from 9,200 to 9,700 VND/kg (equivalent to 7.5 to 8%) compared to the previous week. Specifically, coffee prices in Dak Nong and Gia Lai decreased by 9,300 VND/kg last week. In Dak Lak, coffee prices decreased by 9,200 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Lam Dong recorded the sharpest decrease of 9,700 VND/kg.
According to data from the General Statistics Office, Vietnam's coffee export activities in August have grown strongly. Specifically, the amount of coffee exported reached 85 thousand tons, an increase of 12.9% over the same period last year.
In the first 8 months of the year, the total amount of coffee exported reached 1.14 million tons. It is worth noting that the revenue reached 6.5 billion USD, a record number. Compared to the same period in 2024, the amount of coffee exported increased by 7.8% and the turnover increased by 61.1%.
The main reason for the high turnover is the average export price of coffee reaching 5,580 USD/ton, 46.4% higher than the same period last year. This price is considered a record even when including processed coffee products.
World coffee prices today
On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery reached $4,468 per tonne, down 10.7% ($533 per tonne) from last week. The November 2025 futures contract fell 10.5% ($506 per tonne) to $4,309 per tonne.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in September 2025 decreased by 2.8% (11.3 US cents/pound) compared to the previous week, to 385.6 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 3.2% (12.5 US cents/pound) to 373.65 US cents/pound.
The price of Arabica coffee in the world is under a lot of pressure. This pressure comes from the decision of US President Donald Trump to impose a 50% tax on imports from Brazil - the world's largest coffee producer.
Traders are cautiously awaiting the final ruling from the US Supreme Court. The market is expected to see a sharp correction if the Court upholds the previous ruling of the appeals court, which said that Mr. Trump exceeded his authority when issuing this tax.
Coffee prices on international exchanges fell sharply last week after a month of unpredictable fluctuations, leaving many traders confused. Fortunately, Vietnam's coffee export prices have remained high for most of the year.
