Nghe An Province Tax Department celebrates 80th anniversary of tradition
On the afternoon of September 10, the Tax Department of Nghe An province solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam Tax Department (September 10, 1945 - September 10, 2025) and the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department (August 21, 1990 - August 21, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Colonel Dinh Viet Dung - Director of the Provincial Police; and leaders of departments and branches. On the side of the Ministry of Finance, there was comrade Le Long - Deputy Director of the Tax Department.
Exactly 80 years ago, on September 10, 1945, just a few days after the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was born, the Tax sector was established and chosen as the traditional day of the Vietnamese Tax sector.

For the Tax Department of Nghe An province, after 35 years of construction, growth and development, it has always excellently completed assigned tasks.
Every year, the State budget revenue in the area always reaches and exceeds the estimate, with a high growth rate, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals, creating resources to maintain growth rate, well implementing social security policies, investing in development, maintaining national defense - security and political - social stability.

With its outstanding achievements, the Tax Department of Nghe An province has been awarded many noble prizes by the Party and the State such as: Third-class Independence Medal; First, Second and Third-class Labor Medals; Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; many Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Finance and Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the event, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee warmly commended the efforts, results and important contributions of generations of cadres, civil servants and employees of the Tax sector of Nghe An province over the past time.

Entering a new development stage, the whole province is making efforts to successfully implement Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo, striving to turn Nghe An into a fairly developed province of the country; a center of the North Central region in terms of trade, healthcare, education - training, science - technology, industry and high-tech agriculture.
To achieve that goal, ensuring sustainable financial resources is a key requirement, in which the Tax sector plays a particularly important role. In the coming time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department to focus on implementing a number of key tasks.

First of all, the head of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Tax Department to proactively advise the People's Committees at all levels on policies and solutions to increase revenue, creating a stable foundation and sustainable development of the budget. From now until the end of the year, it is necessary to strive to exceed the budget estimate by 25% according to the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized that the sector needs to promptly and effectively implement new tax policies; strengthen propaganda, support, and accompany businesses and people in fulfilling tax obligations; and continue to effectively implement the Tax System Reform Strategy until 2030.

At the same time, Nghe An Tax needs to continue promoting digital transformation, applying information technology in tax management; reforming administrative procedures, creating a favorable business environment, improving competitiveness for enterprises, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
In addition, strengthen discipline and public service discipline; build a team of tax officials and civil servants with courage, qualities, capacity and high sense of responsibility; focus on training, fostering, arranging and structuring high-quality, professional human resources, quickly adapting to modern management requirements and international integration.

Organize practical and effective emulation movements, create a vibrant emulation atmosphere throughout the industry, and achieve achievements to welcome the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked the Ministry of Finance in general and the Tax Department in particular for their attention to Nghe An province and the provincial Tax sector; and hoped for continued attention and support in the coming time.

“With the glorious tradition of 80 years of the Vietnam Tax sector, 35 years of construction and growth of Nghe An Provincial Tax, I believe that the collective leadership, cadres, civil servants and employees of Nghe An Provincial Tax sector will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, innovation, creativity, excellently complete all tasks, making an important contribution to the development of the country and Nghe An homeland”, said the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province presented a banner with the words "Solidarity - Discipline - Responsibility - Creativity" to the Nghe An Tax Department.


The Director of Nghe An Provincial Police Department awarded a Certificate of Merit in recognition of effective coordination in preventing and handling tax law violations. Nghe An Tax Department was also awarded a Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in digital transformation.
