Retail systems open pre-orders for iPhone 17 in Vietnam
From September 12, customers in Vietnam can deposit to buy iPhone 17 and iPhone Air at many systems such as FPT Shop, F.Studio, Viettel Store, CellphoneS or Di Dong Viet.
Vietnam first opens iPhone sales earliest in the world
Early morning of September 10, Apple officially launched the iPhone 17 series along with Apple Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, Watch SE 3 and AirPods Pro 3. Immediately after the event, major domestic retail systems announced information on deposits to buy iPhone 17.
This year, Vietnam is ranked in the group of markets that open early, instead of having to wait 1-2 weeks like before.
Retail systems open pre-orders simultaneously
From September 12, customers in Vietnam can deposit to buy iPhone 17 and iPhone Air at many systems such as FPT Shop, F.Studio, Viettel Store, CellphoneS or Di Dong Viet. On September 19, the first devices will be delivered to customers.
FPT Shop said the iPhone 17 starts at 24.99 million VND, with incentives and installment support.
Viettel Store also opened deposits from 7pm on September 12, committed to delivering the device early from 8am on September 19.
CellphoneS deploys at the same time to ensure customers own the product as soon as possible.
High demand for Pro Max and new colors
According to data from Mobile World, in recent years, the Pro and Pro Max lines have always accounted for the majority of pre-orders. With the iPhone 17, the Pro Max version is expected to continue to lead thanks to upgraded cameras, chips, and especially the first-ever Cosmic Orange color, promising to create a trend this year.
iPhone 12 and 13 users are expected to be the strongest upgrade group to the standard iPhone 17 series.
Notably, iPhone 17 is the first generation of iPhone to support Wi-Fi 7, making the Internet speed faster and more stable. Vietnam is also one of the few countries that has deployed Wi-Fi 7 on XGS-PON infrastructure, provided by FPT Telecom. This helps iPhone 17 buyers in Vietnam enjoy the strongest network connection right from the product's launch.
The market of hand-carried iPhones is affected
According to many experts, the early sale of iPhone 17 in Vietnam will reduce the attractiveness of hand-carried goods. Previously, many people had to queue in Singapore or Hong Kong to buy new iPhones. However, with the ability to pre-order and receive the device in the country, customers will prioritize choosing genuine goods to ensure warranty and after-sales service.
