Multiple accidents on the highway in Mexico killed 15 people

On September 13, a serious car accident occurred on a highway in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, killing 15 people.

The accident occurred on a highway between the cities of Merida and Campeche, killing passengers in a truck, a car and a bus, Yucatan state officials said. Emergency, security and medical teams were immediately deployed to the scene. Two people with serious injuries were treated at the scene by medical staff.

According to initial reports, the beer truck crashed into the bus, which then crashed into another vehicle. Local media reported that the bus was transporting construction workers from Merida, the capital of Yucatan, to various rural areas. Reports said the bus veered off the road, overturned, and caught fire, trapping several people inside and killing them.

In a post on social network X, Yucatan Governor Joaquin Diaz Mena expressed his condolences and affirmed his support for the families of the victims of the accident.
