Nestled in the mountains and forests of Northwest Nghe An, the newly established Nghia Khanh commune is like a vivid picture of solidarity and aspiration to rise up. Inheriting achievements, portraying new identity
Nghia Khanh Commune was established under Resolution No. 1678/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated June 16, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly, on the basis of merging the entire area and population of the three communes of Nghia An, Nghia Duc, and Nghia Khanh. With a natural area of 77.72 km² and a population of 25,653 people, Nghia Khanh has the advantage of vast land, abundant resources, and people with a rich revolutionary tradition.
The Commune Party Committee officially operated from July 1, 2025, with 47 Party organizations and 784 Party members, creating a strong political system, ready to lead the locality into a new stage of development.
During the 2020-2025 term, the three former communes faced enormous challenges: the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted production, natural disasters caused heavy damage, and global economic fluctuations created pressure. However, with the leadership of the Party Committee, the government, and the solidarity of the people, Nghia Khanh achieved remarkable achievements.
The Party Committee focused on innovating leadership methods, synchronously implementing solutions for socio-economic development, national defense and security, and building a clean and strong political system. Political and ideological education was promoted, creating high unity between the awareness and actions of cadres and Party members, strengthening people's trust in the Party's guidelines.
The economy develops stably, effectively exploiting local potential. Focusing on attracting investment, building rural transport infrastructure, especially inter-commune and intra-field roads, contributing to connecting production and market.
High-tech agriculture is prioritized, with effective production models such as concentrated medicinal plant cultivation and large-scale processing facilities, creating health-supporting products from medicinal plants. Initially forming an agricultural production chain, aiming for high-quality OCOP products.
Culture and society are taken care of, improving people's material and spiritual life; national target programs on health and population are effectively implemented, ensuring primary health care.
National defense and security were maintained, building a national defense posture associated with people's security. Militia and self-defense forces and reserve forces were strengthened, proactively preventing hostile plots and skillfully handling situations. Propaganda work raised awareness, the national movement to protect the Fatherland spread widely. The political system was consolidated, with models of "Smart Mass Mobilization" and people's dialogue, creating social consensus.

Breakthrough innovation, completing advanced new rural criteria
The 1st Congress of Nghia Khanh Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", affirmed the determination to build a clean and strong Party Committee; effectively exploit resources for socio-economic development, maintain national defense and security.
By 2030, the commune strives to basically complete the advanced new rural criteria, building Nghia Khanh to be increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized - an aspirational but feasible goal, based on a solid foundation from the previous term.
To achieve that goal, Nghia Khanh focuses on three strategic breakthroughs. First, innovating the rural economy, aiming for green and sustainable production. Promoting high-tech agriculture, expanding the model of concentrated medicinal plant cultivation and large-scale processing, creating OCOP products to support health. Forming a production chain, attracting investment in transport infrastructure, irrigation, turning the land potential of 77.72 km² into a competitive advantage. Striving for economic growth of 9-10%/year, average income of 80-90 million VND/person, reducing poor households to less than 1.5%, trained workers reaching 75%.
Second, consolidate the political system, promote grassroots democracy. Continue to build a clean and strong Party organization in all aspects, with widespread "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models, regular dialogue with the people. Improve the quality of cadres and party members through political theory and professional training; closely inspect, supervise, and strictly handle violations. People's Councils and People's Committees innovate their activities, issue practical resolutions, and effectively supervise. The Fatherland Front and organizations mobilize resources and support the community, such as building charity houses and supporting natural disasters.
Third, take care of culture and society, ensure national defense and security. Synchronously implement health and population programs, improve population quality, cover 95% of health insurance; expand health stations, invest in modern equipment. Promote employment, vocational training for rural workers, support ethnic minorities to escape poverty sustainably. Build a national defense posture, improve militia and self-defense forces, reserve mobilization; effectively prevent crimes, natural disasters, and epidemics. Propaganda and education to raise awareness, spread the movement of the whole people to protect the Fatherland.
