Detained man who used knife to kill "love rival" in the middle of the street for murder
On the afternoon of September 18, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Province Police issued a decision to temporarily detain Vuong Van Dung (born 1995, residing in Duc Hop Commune, Hung Yen Province) for murder.
Previously, as CAND Newspaper reported, due to a love conflict, at around 7am on September 18, Vuong Van Dung used a kitchen knife to attack two people while they were walking on the street. According to the security camera at the scene, a man in a black shirt, holding a knife, suddenly rushed to chase and kill a couple on a motorbike.
According to the testimony of suspect Vuong Van Dung, although she was in a relationship with Dung, Ms. Q (born in 1979, residing in Bac Dong Hung commune, Hung Yen province) still had an affair with Mr. B (born in 1976, residing in Luong Tai commune, Bac Ninh province). Out of jealousy, Dung took a knife and chased Ms. Q and Mr. B.
Dung said he used a kitchen knife to attack. Dung stabbed Mr. B once in the back, then stabbed Ms. Q many times in the face and back. After committing the crime, Dung fled home on a motorbike and was arrested later. Mr. B was lucky to escape, Ms. Q was stabbed and collapsed on the spot. Afterwards, the victim was quickly helped to be taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Hung Yen Provincial Police coordinated with relevant units to block off the scene, extract camera footage, and consolidate documents to investigate and clarify.
