Prosecution and arrest of 2 subjects for violating the interests of the State
The Investigation Police Agency of Thai Nguyen Province has just issued a Decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and an Arrest Warrant to detain two subjects for the crime of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the rights and legitimate interests of organizations and individuals".
On September 21, the Investigation Police Agency of Thai Nguyen Province issued a Decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and an Arrest Warrant to detain two subjects: Nguyen Van Truong (born in 1976, residing in Phu Xa 2 group, Tich Luong ward, Thai Nguyen province) and Nguyen Cong Hop (born in 1950, residing in Dong Huong hamlet, Kha Son commune, Thai Nguyen province) for the crime of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the rights and legitimate interests of organizations and individuals" as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 331 of the Penal Code.
Both of these subjects had previous convictions for various crimes. After completing their prison sentences and returning to the community, they received attention and support from local authorities, departments, sectors and organizations to reintegrate; however, both of them still committed acts of sabotage on cyberspace, seriously affecting security and order.
Currently, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Investigation Agency is continuing to consolidate the case file and strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.
