Using homemade gun to break windows of many cars on the highway
On September 23, information from the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ninh Province said that this agency has just issued a decision to temporarily detain two suspects, Dang Quang Dao (born 1997) and Dang Van Dien (born 2004), to investigate the act of using homemade guns to shoot at many cars on the Ha Long - Hai Phong highway.
Previously, on the night of September 14, a clip appeared on social networks recording the scene of a number of cars moving to the CT06 intersection of Ha Long - Hai Phong highway in Lien Hoa ward (Quang Ninh province) when a strange object suddenly shot into the windshield, causing the car windows to break.
The incident caused anxiety and frustration among the people, especially drivers and passengers traveling on this route.
Upon receiving the information, the Criminal Police Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with Highway Traffic Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department and Lien Hoa Ward Police to immediately investigate the incident.
The results of the on-site investigation showed that the subject used a homemade compressed air gun to shoot iron balls into the car window. This is a highly lethal weapon, when fired at a moving vehicle it can cause extremely serious accidents, directly threatening the lives of road users.
Through professional measures, the investigation force identified the two subjects who caused the incident as Dang Quang Dao (born in 1997) and Dang Van Dien (born in 2004), both residing in Yen Hai 2 area, Phong Coc ward, Quang Ninh province. At the police station, the subjects confessed to the incident.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency, Quang Ninh Provincial Police have issued a decision to temporarily detain both of the above subjects to investigate the act of "Illegal possession and use of military weapons".
