U15 Song Lam Nghe An touring in China: Opportunity to gain experience and grow
U15 Song Lam Nghe An has just left for China to participate in the 2025 “Hooray Cup 3” International Football Tournament. This is a highly competitive playground. On the other hand, it is also an opportunity for young players from Nghe An to compete and gain experience to become more mature in the future.
U15 Song Lam Nghe An officially left for China on September 26 to participate in the 2025 “Hooray Cup Ⅲ” International Football Tournament. The tournament brings together 12 youth teams from 6 countries on 3 continents, taking place at Co Loi Development Zone, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, on the grass field cluster of Hoan Lac Dao International Football Training Center. This is a famous place with a modern infrastructure system, having hosted many international and domestic youth tournaments, promising to bring players high-quality competition experiences.
Participating in the tournament, U15 SLNA is placed in group C, will face potential opponents from China and Korea. According to the group stage schedule, the young team from Nghe An will play against Shenzhen Academy on September 28.
Then, on September 29, U15 SLNA will face Yeongdeok FC from Korea.
The final group stage match will take place on October 1st, with U15 SLNA facing Zhejiang FC. If they get a favorable result, the team will enter the quarter-finals and have a chance to go further in the tournament. The tournament will last until October 5th.
Participating in a tournament with the participation of famous football clubs and academies such as Sao Paulo (Brazil), Alverca (Portugal), Yeongdeok (Korea) or top academies in China, is considered a valuable opportunity for U15 SLNA to compete. The young players not only face challenges in terms of physical strength, technical and tactical skills, but also directly experience the international football environment, something that not every youth team in the country has the opportunity to access.
Sharing about this tour, Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Director of Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center, emphasized that the biggest goal is not in the achievements, but in the lessons learned. He said: “Participating in Hooray Cup 3 is an opportunity for the children to learn diverse playing styles from many different football backgrounds. Through intense matches, the players will know how to adapt, practice their competitive spirit and improve their physical strength. The valuable thing is that the children are exposed to the international football environment right from their teenage years, thereby forming a professional mindset to go far in the future”.
Mr. Dung believes that the experiences in this tournament will help the players gain more confidence when they return to compete in domestic youth tournaments, and at the same time, give them more motivation to aim for the opportunity to wear the national team jersey in the future. Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football not only focuses on technical training but also wants to train the players' fighting spirit and confidence on the field.
