Breakthrough from people: Nghe An focuses on training high-quality human resources
With many advantages in education and training, Nghe An has many advantages to develop high-quality human resources. Currently, Nghe An also considers human resource development as one of the three breakthroughs of the province, in which, taking education and training as the strategy, vocational education as the focus and key.
Innovation in training programs
"How can graduates quickly approach work and work with real machines?" is the requirement set by Vinh University of Technical Education before each course.
Therefore, in recent years, in response to the demands of the 4.0 industrial revolution and the increasing demands of the labor market, the school has focused on the task of training highly qualified technical human resources, mastering technology, and quickly adapting to digital transformation. To do this well, the school has increased investment in laboratories, practice workshops, and virtual business models - real businesses in the school.

At the same time, focus on innovating training programs towards output standards associated with digital capacity, soft skills and innovative thinking. The training process is also associated with an important task, which is to focus on developing high-quality human resources for the province.
We aim to not only train technicians and engineers with good expertise but also those with entrepreneurial and innovative capabilities. Therefore, during their time at school, students are encouraged to participate in applied research projects and technology startups to form a young, creative workforce, contributing to improving the province's labor productivity.

Through the discussion, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang - Principal of the school said: In order to build output standards according to innovation, since 2017, the school has implemented the CDIO model and continuously improved to suit the context of technology development 4.0 and new teaching models. That is inverted teaching, teaching according to the PBL Project model (instead of just learning theory, students are encouraged to be proactive, creative and cooperative to explore, research and apply knowledge into practice).
The assessment of learning outcomes is carried out according to the criteria of knowledge output standards, indicators for evaluating scientific, technological, innovation and entrepreneurship projects. Thereby, creating opportunities for changes in both quantity and quality in training associated with scientific research, innovation and business practices.
Investment and human resource development
In recent years, identifying human resource development as one of the three development breakthroughs, Nghe An has integrated this task into many plans and action programs. In the past term alone, the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 03-NQ/TU on "Improving the quality of comprehensive education in Nghe An province". In addition, the province also issued Project No. 14/DA/TU on training and developing skilled human resources... In parallel, the province also has many policies to synchronously implement solutions for human resource development, vocational training associated with job creation, attracting and employing talented people.

Thanks to the implementation of these programs, in recent years, the school system in the province has continuously invested in facilities and teaching equipment in the direction of standardization and modernization.
Nghe An is also the leading province in the North Central region in building mechanisms and policies, forming educational models, and creating breakthroughs in educational development.
Thanks to that, the quality of teaching at all levels and grades has been firmly affirmed, for many consecutive years, Nghe An Education sector has been in the top of the country with many students achieving excellent national, regional and international results. This favorable premise creates a high-quality human resource for the province, when every year Nghe An has thousands of students with high scores passing the top universities in the country.
In the field of vocational training, Nghe An currently has 6 universities, ranking 3rd in the region in terms of the number of universities. In addition, there are 10 colleges, 13 secondary schools, 22 vocational education centers, 18 establishments registered for vocational education activities, with the enrollment scale of the vocational education system reaching 79,231 students/year.

With diverse occupational structures and training levels, human resources from universities and colleges gradually meet the needs of the labor market.
Currently, the rate of trained workers in the whole province increased from 66.4% at the end of 2021 to 70.1% at the end of 2024 (an increase of 3.7%).
Since then, it has had a positive impact on the shift in labor structure, economic structure, improving labor productivity, increasing income, contributing to poverty reduction and sustainable economic development, strengthening national defense, security and social order of the province.

Regarding this issue, Prof. Dr. Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training affirmed: High-quality human resources are the main resource that determines the process of economic and social growth and development. Most recently, Resolution No. 71 also proposed strategic breakthroughs to develop high-quality human resources, aiming to bring the country firmly into the era of rising up to develop richly, civilized. To meet the requirements set out, the head of the Education sector said that the important task is to continue to carry out fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training, both in terms of goals, content, direction teaching methods, education system, methods of organizing and managing education and training.
The focus of education must shift from equipping knowledge to nurturing and training thinking methods, problem finding and solving methods, creativity, self-training and adaptability.
