U23 Vietnam received very good news before SEA Games 33
U23 Vietnam is in the number 1 seed group, thereby having an advantage when conducting the draw for men's football at SEA Games 33.
The 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee has just announced 4 seed groups for men's football. Accordingly, seed group 1 includes U23 Vietnam (third place in SEA Games 32), defending champion U23 Indonesia and host U23 Thailand. Group 2 includes U23 Myanmar, U23 Malaysia and U23 Cambodia. Group 3 includes U23 Timor Leste, U23 Philippines and U23 Laos. U23 Singapore is the only team in seed group 4.
The Organizing Committee has not yet set a schedule for the draw for men's football. However, unlike previous editions, the 33rd SEA Games will have 11 participating teams, divided into 3 groups: Group A with 3 teams, Group B and C with 4 teams each. The teams will compete in a round robin, with the top three teams and the second-placed team with the best record advancing to the semi-finals.

Group A matches will be played in Bangkok, while Group B and Group C will be played in either Songkhla or Chiang Mai. From the semi-finals, the third-place match and the final will all be held in Bangkok.
Meanwhile, for women's football, the tournament brings together 8 teams, divided into two groups, playing a round-robin to select the two teams with the best results in each group to enter the semi-finals. Women's football takes place from December 4 to December 17 in Chonburi.
According to the seeding groups, the Vietnamese women's team (defending champion) and host Thailand are in seed group number 1. Group 2 includes Myanmar and Cambodia, group 3 includes the Philippines and Singapore, group 4 includes Malaysia and Indonesia.
Quang Hai's son is on the Vietnam U17 team
In the plan towards the 2026 AFC U17 qualifiers, coach Cristiano Roland has just announced a list of 30 players. The Vietnam U17 team will gather on October 5 in Hanoi, with the core being the faces who participated in the international tournament CFA Team China 2025. Notable among them are striker Nguyen Van Duong - Top scorer, Best player of the National U15 2024 and midfielder Chu Ngoc Nguyen Luc, leader of the midfield at the 2025 AFC U17 Finals.
In addition, fans paid attention to striker Nguyen Le Quang Khoi (born in 2009, Ho Chi Minh City). This young striker is the son of former striker of the Vietnam national team - AFF Cup 2008 champion Nguyen Quang Hai.

Quang Khoi has made his mark early in the youth teams: he played for Vietnam U16 and U17, won the 2025 National U19 Bronze Medal, and the 2024 National U15 Silver Medal. His speed and technical playing style has helped him be considered one of the promising talents of the new generation.
According to the plan, U17 Vietnam will practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center before leaving for Japan for training from November 5. Here, coach Cristiano Roland and his team are expected to play three friendly matches with opponents arranged by the Japan Football Federation, before returning on November 16 to prepare for the qualifying round.
The draw put U17 Vietnam in Group C with Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), Macau (China) and the Northern Mariana Islands. The matches will take place from November 22 to 3, 2025 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and PVF. This promises to be a big challenge, but also an opportunity for new faces like Quang Khoi to show themselves in the national youth team jersey.
Bournemouth surpasses Arsenal, temporarily takes second place in Premier League
Bournemouth have been in fine form since the start of the 2025/26 season. And having to host mid-table Fulham is a good opportunity for them to continue their excitement.
The home team quickly took control of the game from the first minutes and continuously threatened Fulham's goal. However, the away team still stood firm and then gradually had quite dangerous responses. Unfortunately, no goals were scored in the first half.

In the second half, the game was quite balanced. It was not until the 70th minute that the goal came. Sessegnon escaped into the penalty area to receive a pass from Chukwueze and chipped the ball past goalkeeper Petrovic in a one-on-one situation to give Fulham the lead.
In the 78th minute, Semenyo scored from a narrow angle, beating goalkeeper Leno to equalize 1-1. In the 84th minute, substitute Justin Kluivert fired a long-range shot from 30 meters to put Bournemouth ahead 2-1. And in the 6th minute of injury time of the second half, Semenyo scored the winning goal, 3-1 for the home team.
With this victory, Bournemouth temporarily took 2nd place on the rankings with 14 points after 7 rounds, only 1 point behind the leading team Liverpool.
Controversial England squad list
Coach Thomas Tuchel left out many prominent faces in the England squad for the FIFA Days series in October.
Jack Grealish (Everton) and Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace) are the two biggest regrets. Both have been in impressive form recently, contributing greatly to the achievements of their home teams.
Grealish has 4 assists in 6 matches, helping Everton to the top half of the Premier League table. Wharton is currently a mainstay of Crystal Palace, helping the London team maintain an 18-match unbeaten streak in all competitions.

Another notable name is Jude Bellingham. The Real Madrid star has not returned to the team, having started only one match since recovering from a shoulder injury late last month. Bellingham is replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Noni Madueke (Arsenal) and Tino Livramento (Newcastle) have also been left out of the squad due to fitness issues.
On the other hand, striker Bukayo Saka returns after missing the September training session due to a hamstring injury. In-form attackers like Harry Kane, Eberechi Eze and Marcus Rashford are also present.
Tuchel's personnel decisions this time continue to attract attention, as he prioritizes squad stability and player fitness over temporary form.
England will have friendly matches against Wales (October 10) and Latvia (October 15) in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The Three Lions are currently at the top of Group K, 7 points ahead of Albania with a perfect record of 5 wins.
