Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Government members visit President Ho Chi Minh
The first Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session this morning at the National Convention Center.
This is the first congress of the Government Party Committee under the new organizational model.
The Congress takes place in the context that the entire Party, people and army are striving and determined to successfully complete the socio-economic development goals for 2025 and the 5-year period of 2021-2025; competing to achieve achievements to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Before the congress session, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, led the congress delegation to lay wreaths and visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
The delegation also offered incense and commemorated the heroic martyrs at the Heroic Martyrs Monument on Bac Son Street.
The Congress has the theme: "Building a clean and strong Government Party; solidarity, exemplary leadership in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation; accelerating breakthroughs, developing the country quickly and sustainably in the era of rising up, prosperity, civilization, prosperity and happiness".
The congress was attended by 453 delegates, representing more than 209,000 party members from 2,211 grassroots party organizations in the entire Government Party Committee.
The Congress will summarize and evaluate the results of the 2020-2025 term, review the leadership and direction of the Government Party Executive Committee; determine the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term. In addition, the Congress will also discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the Central Committee to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.
At the official session, General Secretary To Lam will attend and give a speech directing the congress. Key leaders; leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, former leaders of the Government, and members of the Government will also attend the congress.
Within the framework of the congress, ministries and branches will display large-scale exhibitions, introducing the picture of the country's comprehensive development under the leadership of the Party and Government; affirming Vietnam's position as a dynamic, creative and deeply integrated country in the new era.
