The Prime Minister allocated more than 681 billion VND to Nghe An to build an inter-level boarding school in a border commune.

In Decision No. 2231/QD-TTg dated October 9, 2025, the Prime Minister decided to allocate an additional VND 6,640 billion to 18 localities to invest in building schools for border communes; Nghe An province alone was allocated VND 681,461 billion.

Previously, on October 8, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 6302 /BGDĐT-KHTC to the People's Committees of 18 provinces and cities announcing the list of 100 primary and secondary boarding schools to be invested in in 2025, to be completed before August 30, 2026.

In particular, Nghe An province, a locality with 21 border communes, has 10 schools invested in this phase, including primary and secondary boarding schools: Nhon Mai, Na Ngoi, Keng Du, Mon Son, Bac Ly, Tam Thai, Que Phong, Tri Le, Hanh Lam and Anh Son.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that it has compiled a list of investment needs and sent it to the Ministry of Finance for consideration, reporting to competent authorities to decide on funding allocation and instructing localities to implement, meeting the progress requirements of 100 schools to start construction in October 2025, no later than December 19, 2025.

In Nghe An, on the morning of October 11, Na Ngoi Primary and Secondary Boarding School, the first project of 10 schools approved in 2025, was started with the participation of General Secretary To Lam.

The project is located in the border commune of Na Ngoi, in a particularly difficult socio-economic area and an important area for security and defense, about 250 km from the center of Nghe An province. With an area of ​​about 5.5 hectares and a total investment of nearly 240 billion VND from state and socialized capital, the school is designed to be modern and synchronous, fully meeting the requirements for learning, living and comprehensive development of students.

The project includes 49 classrooms, along with a system of functional rooms, dormitories, dining halls, playgrounds, experience areas and production areas. When completed, the school will meet the learning needs of more than 1,900 border students, creating conditions for them to study in a good environment, developing comprehensively in knowledge, skills, physical fitness and personality.

In Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025, the Politburo agreed on the investment policy to build primary and secondary boarding schools in 248 land border communes.

Investing in building schools for land border communes is a key and important task in socio-economic development and implementing ethnic policies to improve people's knowledge and human resource quality, create a source of cadres from ethnic and local people, improve the material and spiritual life of people in border areas, and contribute to strengthening national defense and security.

In the immediate future, the pilot investment will complete the construction or renovation of 100 schools in 2025 (at the latest by the start of the next school year). These schools will be models for further large-scale implementation, completing the investment target of building 248 schools in the next 2-3 years.

The invested schools must ensure technical standards, scale, area of ​​the school and classrooms; have adequate facilities to serve learning, cultural, spiritual, physical training, living conditions and absolute safety.
