Searching the residence in the villa of actress Truong Ngoc Anh
The Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency coordinated with the People's Procuracy of the same level to search the residence of actress Truong Ngoc Anh - the defendant in the case of "Abuse of trust to appropriate property".
Accordingly, the Investigation Police Agency conducted a search of the residence of the suspect Truong Ngoc Anh, located in a villa area in An Khanh ward. The search was carried out in accordance with legal procedures, with the presence of relevant people. Here, the authorities seized many documents and evidence to serve the investigation of the case.

As reported by CAND Newspaper, on October 31, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department prosecuted and temporarily detained Truong Ngoc Anh (artist, actress) to investigate the act of "Abuse of trust to appropriate property".
Previously, Dat Rong Real Estate Joint Stock Company (address: 25 Dao Duy Anh, Duc Nhuan Ward) filed a complaint against Truong Ngoc Anh - the former Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of the Company - for allegedly appropriating the company's assets.

Accordingly, Dat Rong Real Estate JSC was established in 2007 with Truong Ngoc Anh as Director and legal representative. During its operation, Truong Ngoc Anh called on Mr. PGM (Irish nationality) to contribute a total investment capital of 9.1 million USD (equivalent to more than 149 billion VND) to implement 2 real estate projects, including the Indochine building project at 112 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, District 3 (old). For this project alone, Mr. M. transferred 4.49 million USD, equivalent to 72 billion VND.

According to the investment contract signed on January 25, 2008, the Indochine building project was to be owned by Dat Rong Real Estate JSC with a value of 12,917.7 taels of gold. However, the verification results showed that before the time of signing the investment contract, Truong Ngoc Anh and NMH (born in 1964, residing in Tan Dinh ward) had signed a sales contract with 4 households in the project land with only 7,917.3 taels of gold in their personal names. Of which, Truong Ngoc Anh had only paid 3,000 taels of gold but the company's accounting books had paid 4,458 taels of gold; violating the investment agreement, showing signs of fraud, inflating the project value to appropriate the difference.

Notably, in December 2007, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a decision to reclaim this land to expand Le Quy Don High School, and at the same time paid more than 26.1 billion VND in compensation to 4 households. Afterwards, the households returned the entire amount of more than 26.1 billion VND to Truong Ngoc Anh and NMH. However, Truong Ngoc Anh only transferred 3 billion VND to the company and investors, the remaining more than 10 billion VND was used for personal purposes, without reporting or accounting.

In addition, during the course of running the business, Truong Ngoc Anh took advantage of her authority as a legal representative to arbitrarily withdraw money from the company's account, directed the creation of fake accounting entries, and falsified financial reports to conceal the act of appropriation.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case, clarify the responsibilities of related individuals and recover assets for investors and damaged businesses.
