Repairing infrastructure damaged by storms
At the meeting with voters, many opinions focused on natural disasters, infrastructure and support policies. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Secretary of Thach Son 1 village reported that prolonged heavy rains had caused the Lam River to rise and flow rapidly, causing serious landslides on the riverbank passing through Thach Son 5 village, directly threatening the lives and property of the people.
She said: Currently, three households have had to be urgently evacuated, while 15 others are still facing the risk of being affected if the landslide continues.

In addition, the road from Dong Trai to Khe Truc along the Lam River was also eroded, affecting traffic and people's lives.
Faced with these risks, Ms. Hien requested that the authorities soon have a solution to ensure the safety of people's lives and property and protect important infrastructure in the area.

Mr. Le Van Ly - Secretary of Anh Son 5 village Party Cell proposed upgrading and repairing degraded dams to ensure dam safety and for people living downstream.
He also mentioned Decision No. 3801 dated September 8, 2020 of the People's Committee of Anh Son district (formerly) on supporting the work of site clearance for the left bank of Lam river in Duc Son commune (old) 10km long for the site clearance team with more than 235 million VND that has not been fully resolved, requesting early review and payment.

Voter Nguyen Van Chau - Head of Veu 1 village, reflected the situation of 11 households of the village living in an area at risk of flooding and landslides; the degraded state of Highway 534C, connecting to Cao Veu secondary border gate with Laos; thereby requesting the authorities to have solutions and allocate resources to resolve the above two petitions.
In addition, Mr. Chau conveyed the voters' thoughts and wishes regarding planning, allocation and issuance of forest production land certificates. This not only serves the needs of production and forest protection but also contributes to improving the effectiveness of forest fire prevention and fighting.
On that basis, he proposed that the Provincial People's Council consider and issue a resolution to remove difficulties and create a solid legal basis for people to effectively manage and use forest land.

At the conference, voters also raised many opinions related to the issuance of land use right certificates; repairing damaged traffic infrastructure and power lines caused by storms No. 3, 5 and 10; resolving the regime for part-time officials at the commune and hamlet levels who have retired according to Decree 154 on streamlining the payroll; at the same time, proposing to restore and embellish a number of historical relics in the area to preserve the cultural and historical values of the locality; resettlement progress of the project to expand the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery...
Review, assess urgent needs, and prioritize to overcome the consequences of natural disasters
After listening to the explanations of local leaders and relevant departments and branches, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh directly received and responded to voters' recommendations, focusing on the main groups of issues: Overcoming traffic infrastructure, irrigation, electricity lines; land management; and rights and policies for individuals.

Notably, regarding the restoration of damaged and degraded infrastructure due to natural disasters and long-term use, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: Storms No. 3, No. 5 and No. 10 swept through consecutively, causing total damage of more than VND 8,587 billion in the province.
To overcome this, the Central Government has supported the province in two phases with a total of 800 billion VND, while the provincial budget has allocated about 200 billion VND.
However, in the face of unbalanced budget revenue and expenditure, comrade Le Hong Vinh said that the province has proactively reviewed and assessed urgent needs and arranged priorities, focusing first on transportation to ensure people's travel and hopes voters will share.
