In India, pepper prices have decreased slightly by 200 Rupees per quintal for all varieties. Specifically, Garbled pepper is currently traded at 70,000 Rupees per quintal (equivalent to about 215,299 VND/kg), Ungarbled pepper at 68,000 Rupees per quintal (about 209,148 VND/kg) and Gram pepper/liter at 67,000 Rupees per quintal (equivalent to 206,072 VND/kg).

This price adjustment is mainly due to abundant domestic supply, while demand from major import markets has not shown any clear signs of improvement.

Analysts say the stable pepper price movement at this time reflects a temporary balance between supply and demand.

While many export businesses are closely monitoring exchange rate fluctuations and shipping costs to make appropriate trading decisions, farmers are holding onto their goods, waiting for prices to increase again at the end of the year.

If demand from markets such as India, the Middle East or Europe increases in November and December, domestic pepper prices are likely to rebound.

Vietnam currently accounts for more than 55% of the total global pepper exports. Therefore, changes in supply, demand and prices in Vietnam are having a significant impact on short-term world market trends. This leading role makes the international market pay special attention to domestic developments in the Vietnamese pepper industry.

With export prices continuing to remain high and clear signs of recovery from the international market, Vietnam's pepper industry is expected to reach an export turnover of 1.5 billion USD in 2025.
