Not only is he a 'billion-view musician', Nguyen Van Chung is also passionate about his collection of robot models, comics and famous game titles in his living space.
Musician Nguyen Van Chung, author of many hits, has shared for the first time about his special personal interests in the living space of a luxury apartment in Ho Chi Minh City. Besides music, he devotes part of his passion to collecting robot models, comics and video games.
Impressive mecha robot collection
A prominent corner in the apartment is four shelves displaying about 40 Gundam, Voltron and other mecha robots models. This is the result of a passion he has nurtured since 2012.
Each model costs from several hundred thousand to less than 10 million VND. The musician shared about how he spends on his hobby: "Sometimes, if I really like it, I buy it because I don't want to spend money. My little tip is to put it in the shopping cart directly, and if I come back after a month and still like it, I buy it."
He said that although his income has improved, he still maintains the habit of saving after experiencing financial turmoil. Many models in the collection are gifts from colleagues, such as the classic Voltron Lion Force version given by musician Chau Dang Khoa and the modern version from singer Pham Viet Thanh of the group UnlimitedD.
The world of comics and meaningful lessons
Nguyen Van Chung is also a comic book lover with many famous series such as Doraemon, Pokémon, King of Games (Yugi Oh!), and modern works such as Solo Leveling, Demon Slayer.
For him, reading stories is not only for entertainment but also to draw out profound messages. He is especially fond of the character's journey of overcoming difficulties in "I Level Up Alone", seeing it as a source of inspiration for effort and determination to never give up.
Entertainment corner with PlayStation 5 and famous games
In his bedroom, the musician has a dedicated corner for video games. His drawers contain many famous titles such as Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring and parts of the Final Fantasy series.
The PlayStation 5, worth about 13-16 million VND, was "forgotten" for many months while he focused on major music projects. His special love for "Final Fantasy" also prompted him to collect two "Ultimania Archive" artbooks of this series.
Daily life beside passion
Contrary to his father's interests, his son, Hieu Long, is not interested in models or offline games. He likes to play with legos, watch "Doraemon" cartoons and play online games. However, the two still have moments of bonding when watching movies and playing claw machines together.
In addition to his hobbies at home, Nguyen Van Chung also maintains an active lifestyle with a passion for football and travel.
