Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh: Her son urges her to get married but forbids her from having children.
Returning to the screen with the film 'Family of Opposite Signs', Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh shared about her life as a single mother and revealed that her 12-year-old son always encourages her to remarry but is worried about her health.
New role and reflections on the past
Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh returns to the small screen with the role of Mrs. Anh in the drama "Family of Opposite Signs," co-starring with Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai. This character is a wife who is doted on by her husband, and is somewhat naive and childlike. The actress shared that the role reminded her of her 18-year-old love, when she was also unconditionally pampered by her boyfriend.

"Many times while filming, I thought that if I had married my 18-year-old love, my life would probably be exactly like Mrs. Anh's," Kieu Anh confided. However, life circumstances forced her to mature, shoulder responsibilities alone, and set an example for her son, unable to live carefree as before.

Support from his 12-year-old son
At over 40 years old, the greatest joy and support for Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh is her 12-year-old son. She says she often acts spoiled with him, and as he gets older, she relies on him even more. The boy is described as mature for his age, always caring for and looking after his mother thoughtfully.

"Whenever I'm sick or tired, my son takes incredibly good care of me. My sleep is a 'forbidden zone,' he remains absolutely silent," she recounted. Her son also frequently encourages her to remarry, even offering relationship advice. However, there's one thing he "forbids" her from doing: having another baby, not because he's afraid of having his love divided, but because he's worried about her health.
Perspectives on love and marriage
Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh admits that she "worships love" and doesn't use much reason in romantic relationships. She is still unmarried because she hasn't found a man like the character Mr. Phi in the film – someone who loves her unconditionally, purely, and without ulterior motives.

"If I can't find someone who loves me unconditionally and relentlessly, then I'd rather not get married," she frankly stated. The actress said that her standards used to be quite high and somewhat unrealistic, but she has now "lowered them by 30-40%" although she still hasn't found the right person.

Growing stronger after setbacks
Looking back on her life, Kieu Anh believes the biggest "fall" was when she decided to have a child alone. This event completely turned her life upside down, interrupted her career, and caused her to face many difficulties. Her father supported her decision to become a single mother, but her mother did not.

Those setbacks helped her mature and no longer see life through rose-tinted glasses. The actress believes that her success is 80% effort and 20% luck, because every profession requires discipline and serious hard work.
