People's Artist Tu Long receives his PhD at the age of 52.
At the age of 52, People's Artist Tu Long officially successfully defended his doctoral thesis, becoming the first person from the Army Cheo Theatre to achieve this degree. People's Artist Xuan Bac and his family were present to congratulate him.
New academic achievements
On November 29th, at the Vietnam Institute of Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism, People's Artist Tu Long successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in the field of Theatre Theory and History. With this achievement, he became the first doctor of the Army Cheo Theatre to earn a PhD.

The ceremony was attended by the artist's family, including his parents, his wife, Major Minh Nguyet, and his daughter, Minh Thu. In addition, People's Artist Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, also came to congratulate his colleague.

On her personal page, the wife of People's Artist Tu Long expressed her pride: "A truly memorable day to mark in life, a journey that is truly proud and worthy of recognition. Congratulations to the new Doctor. Congratulations to the Army Cheo Theatre for having its first Doctor with a dissertation that is extremely meaningful, makes a great contribution, and is a tribute to Cheo from the soldier-artist."

Diverse career and leadership roles
At 52 years old, People's Artist Tu Long has not only achieved success in his academic field but also boasts a remarkable artistic career. He currently holds the rank of Colonel and has served as the Director of the Army Cheo Theater since the end of 2024. His name is associated with many popular television programs such as "Meeting at the Weekend," "Tao Quan," and "Thank God, You're Here."

Recently, People's Artist Tu Long also participated in the reality TV show "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles," showcasing his versatility in artistic activities. He shared about the difficulties of balancing his work at the office, family, and participating in a five-month-long program.

A strong rear base
Besides his career, People's Artist Tu Long has a fulfilling family life with his wife, Major Minh Nguyet, who is 12 years younger than him and currently a lecturer at the Military University of Culture and Arts. The couple have three children together: Minh Thu (10 years old), Minh Chau (6 years old), and Bach (3 years old).

The male artist once shared that his wife is understanding and a strong support system, allowing him to focus on his work. While he was participating in "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles," Major Minh Nguyet single-handedly managed the household and took care of the children.

Despite his busy schedule, People's Artist Tu Long always tries to make time for his family, accompanying his wife in their children's upbringing. He often takes advantage of his free time to take his children out to play or participate in family activities.
