Quang Tuan: From 'mystery figure' to 'Princess' of Running Man
Actor Quang Tuan shared his journey of overcoming skepticism on Running Man Vietnam, revealing Tran Thanh's role and the reason he joined the show was for his family.
Actor Quang Tuan has become one of the most surprising and beloved elements in the new season of Running Man Vietnam. From an initially doubted face, he gradually won over the audience with his genuine, somewhat clumsy personality, earning the affectionate nickname "Princess".
In a sharing session, Quang Tuan opened up for the first time about his journey of stepping out of his comfort zone, from the feeling of fear in front of more than 100 cameras to the moments of support from his teammates.
Reasons for joining and initial concerns.
Quang Tuan said his decision to join Running Man Vietnam came from his family. His wife is a fan of the show, and he wanted his daughter, Gao, to see her father on television in a new role.
"To be honest, this is a completely new field, something I never thought I'd venture into," he shared. Initially, he doubted his own abilities, feared he would ruin the show, and felt out of place among the dynamic cast.

Support from Tran Thanh and the nickname "Princess"
In those early, confusing days, Quang Tuan revealed that it was Tran Thanh who came to encourage him. Tran Thanh's advice was to just be himself, show his true self sincerely, and the audience would love him.
"From that comment, I followed Tran Thanh's advice. I started to get used to having over 100 cameras around me, no longer feeling pressured, and just expressing everything as naturally as possible," Quang Tuan recounted.
The nickname "Princess" was also given to him by Tran Thanh. Initially, he had to explain to his daughter about this nickname, saying, "I was just tired and being spoiled, so the aunts and uncles called me that." Gradually, it became a familiar part of his image in the show.

Maintain honesty and a "heroic" spirit.
One of the things that makes Quang Tuan so well-liked is his honesty. He admits that he "can't play dirty." He recounted a situation where Tran Thanh signaled him to tear off Lien Binh Phat's name tag from behind, but he refused because he thought, "Tearing it off like that wouldn't be heroic, it would be cowardly."
He also affirmed that the relationships between the cast members are very good. Although there are moments of fierce competition on screen, behind the cameras, everyone always cares for and looks after each other, especially when someone is injured.
Balancing reality shows and acting career.
Quang Tuan believes that participating in reality shows is more difficult than acting in films because all emotions and actions are genuine reactions. Even so, he remains serious about his acting career. Alongside Running Man, he also participates in action film projects such as "Searching for the Dragon's Breath," a role that required him to undergo rigorous martial arts training and resulted in an injury.

He shared that he is fortunate to have a devoted wife who arranges all his work schedules so that he can balance his career and time for his family. For Quang Tuan, the role of a father in the family is "the most difficult," but it is also the motivation for him to always strive.
