The team received priority support under the procedures for delegations participating in the 33rd SEA Games; Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation, Tran Anh Tu, personally welcomed and encouraged the entire team. A month of assembly and testing in Hangzhou
Before heading to Thailand, the team underwent a month of training in Ho Chi Minh City and a high-quality training camp in Hangzhou (China), including two friendly matches against the Chinese women's futsal team. In the second friendly match in Hangzhou, the Vietnamese women's futsal team won 2-1, concluding a period of professional review, tactical refinement, and assessment of each player's performance before finalizing the roster.

Head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said the team's morale is very high and the players are ready to compete for medals. He emphasized that although the team includes many athletes participating in the SEA Games for the first time, the coaching staff has confidence in the team's efforts and unity. The women's futsal team is the third of four Vietnamese teams to participate in the Football & Futsal events at the 33rd SEA Games. Prior to this, the Vietnam U22 team and the women's national team traveled to Thailand on December 1st and 2nd.
