The funeral of artist Thuong Tin took place quietly in his hometown.

Artist Thuong Tin was laid to rest by his family on the afternoon of December 10th in his hometown of Phan Rang. The funeral took place in a quiet atmosphere, with the presence of relatives, family members, and neighbors. His grave is located in a field, about 10 km from his home.

According to musician Tô Hiếu, a close friend and the only colleague present throughout the funeral, the atmosphere at the farewell ceremony for artist Thương Tín was quite somber due to his sudden death in his distant hometown. He said that only comedians Hồng Tơ and Hữu Nghĩa sent wreaths to pay their respects.
Composer Tô Hiếu shared that as soon as he received the news, he and Thanh Tùng – the son of artist Thương Tín – immediately returned to Phan Rang and arrived at 4 am on December 9th to handle the funeral arrangements.
The final days of the actor
Artist Thuong Tin passed away at 6:50 PM on December 8th in Phan Rang, Thap Cham, Khanh Hoa, at the age of 69. His health had deteriorated after a long battle with illness.
Composer Tô Hiếu recounted: “On November 25th, I called to check on his family... and they said that he was almost completely unresponsive, unable to eat or drink, and practically just lying in bed. Before he passed away, Tín had been bedridden for about two months. Near the day he died, he was unresponsive and didn't leave any last words to anyone.”
According to the account, the fourth wife and her young daughter were also present at the funeral. However, since the two had separated and were not legally married, she quietly stood at a distance.

On the last night before bidding farewell to artist Thuong Tin, musician To Hieu said a strange incident occurred. He recounted: "When I lit incense for Tin, as soon as I stuck the incense stick in, the light bulb on the right exploded and went out, leaving everything pitch black."
He said he recounted the incident to his family, and an elderly person in the house suggested that perhaps artist Thuong Tin still had something he wanted to convey.
