The newspaper also reiterated the confident statement of Nualphan Lamsam (Madam Pang), President of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), before the tournament: "Before the SEA Games, Madam Pang declared that both Thai men's and women's football and futsal teams had to win all four gold medals. But the result was not a single gold medal, a performance far below the target."
