Father and son detained for letting their dog attack people.
The two individuals detained are Tran Nhat Hoa (born in 1959) and his son Tran Quoc Luong (born in 1988, both residing in Pham Hong Thai hamlet, Hong Van commune, Hanoi).
On December 27th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Hanoi City Police temporarily detained two suspects in connection with the incident of a dog attacking a person in Hong Van commune, which caused a stir on social media.

Earlier, a scuffle occurred in Pham Hong Thai hamlet, Hong Van commune. Immediately after receiving the information, the Hong Van commune police launched an investigation. The investigation determined that on the afternoon of December 25th, Tran Quoc Luong and Mr. H (born in 1986, residing in the same hamlet) had a physical altercation. During this, Luong's father, Mr. Tran Nhat Hoa, intervened and asked Luong to go inside the house.
At around 4 PM that same day, Luong opened the gate and went out onto the street with his dog, where he encountered Mr. and Mrs. H. After the confrontation, the two sides continued to argue and hurl insults at each other. During the altercation, Mr. Hoa hit Mr. H, while Luong pushed the dog towards Mr. Hoa. The aggressive dog then bit several people, including Mr. H's wife. As a result, Mr. H and his wife suffered multiple injuries.
Based on the collected evidence, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency has placed Tran Nhat Hoa and Tran Quoc Luong under temporary criminal detention for "disturbing public order". Currently, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency is consolidating the case file and processing the suspects according to regulations.
