Construction begins on the 110kV Bai Ngang power line and substation.
On the morning of December 28th, the Northern Power Corporation and the Nghe An Power Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a 110kV power line and substation in the coastal area. This is a key energy infrastructure project aimed at promoting socio-economic development in the coastal region of Nghe An province.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by representatives from the Department of Industry and Trade, Nghe An Power Company, and the contractors and construction units.

The Bai Ngang area is a dynamic economic region with strengths in aquaculture, salt production, marine economic development, and tourism. Along with this development, the demand for electricity for production and daily life is increasing, requiring the power grid infrastructure to be developed ahead of schedule.
The project for the construction of the 110kV power line and substation was approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province, which also approved the construction design following the basic design phase.
The project is being developed to strengthen grid connectivity, improve the reliability of electricity supply, reduce the power supply radius for medium-voltage lines, meet the growing demand for electricity, and create momentum for socio-economic development in six communes and wards, including Quynh Anh, Quynh Phu, Quynh Van, Quynh Luu, Quynh Son communes and Quynh Mai ward, in particular, and Nghe An province in general.

The project scope includes the construction of a new 110kV Bai Ngang Substation (in Quynh Anh commune) with a capacity of 2x40MVA. In phase 1, the investor will install one 40MVA transformer along with a synchronized equipment system. The substation is designed to be modern, meeting the standards of an unmanned substation, and connected to the SCADA system via a remote control center.
Construction of over 10.1 km of new 110kV double-circuit power lines, passing through four communes: Quỳnh Anh, Quỳnh Văn, Quỳnh Lưu, and Quỳnh Sơn. The project is designed with modern technology, ensuring technical standards for operation and safety.
