Ruben Amorim out, Fletcher in
Manchester United have officially announced the termination of Ruben Amorim's contract, bringing to an end the Portuguese manager's short stint at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim was appointed in November 2024 and helped Manchester United reach the UEFA Europa League final in Bilbao in May, the most notable achievement of his tenure.

However, with Manchester United currently sitting 6th in the Premier League, the club's management believes this is the time for a change, with the goal of maximizing their overall domestic league position.
The club stated that the decision was made reluctantly but was necessary, and thanked Ruben Amorim for his contributions over the years and wished him success in his future endeavors.
In the upcoming match against Burnley on Wednesday, Darren Fletcher will temporarily take over the role of first-team manager.
