The domestic gold market witnessed a surge in the morning session of January 7th. Both gold bars and gold rings simultaneously adjusted sharply upwards, pushing prices to new record highs amidst escalating international market tensions due to geopolitical conflicts.
Gold bars simultaneously increased by 900,000 VND per tael.
Major gold bar brands such as SJC, DOJI, PNJ, and Bao Tin Minh Chau have all adjusted their prices upwards by 900,000 VND/ounce for both buying and selling compared to early yesterday morning. Currently, the common trading price is listed around 156 million VND/ounce (buying) and 158 million VND/ounce (selling).
The most notable fluctuation was seen in Phu Quy SJC gold bars, with a sharp increase of up to 1.7 million VND/ounce for buying and 1.2 million VND/ounce for selling. Meanwhile, gold bars at Bao Tin Manh Hai are currently trading around 156.1 million VND/ounce for buying and 158 million VND/ounce for selling.

Gold rings reach new historical high.
Following the same trend, the market for gold rings also witnessed a strong price increase. Notably, gold rings at Bao Tin Minh Chau officially surpassed 158 million VND/ounce for the selling price, setting a new record.
