On the afternoon of January 13th, the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology held a meeting to review and approve the scientific project "Supporting the development of dossiers, data management, and digitization of OCOP products in Nghe An province".

The acceptance meeting included leaders from the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology, members of the Acceptance Council, representatives from the implementing unit, and experts and scientists. The project, led by the Nghe An Center for Social Sciences and Humanities, will be implemented over a period of 5 months (from August to December 2025) and is part of the National Target Program for New Rural Development.

The report presented at the acceptance meeting indicated that, building upon the results of the previous phase, this phase focuses on expanding the scale and improving the quality of OCOP product digitization, while gradually establishing a centralized and modern OCOP data management model. The main focus is on applying 3D/360 virtual space technology to build digital profiles, display, and introduce OCOP products in a visually engaging and accessible way for consumers.

Accordingly, the project involved conducting field surveys, selecting, and digitizing 57 OCOP products and product groups that achieved 4-star and 5-star ratings in the province. These products belong to various sectors such as food, handicrafts, medicinal herbs and products derived from medicinal herbs, clearly reflecting the strengths, identity, and potential of Nghe An's OCOP. All products have been fully documented and digitized using 3D/360 technology, integrating images, videos, legal information, explanations, and other relevant content.

A notable outcome of the project is the development and operation of a data management model for OCOP products based on a smart 3D/360 interactive software platform. The system enables centralized management and synchronization of OCOP product data, while also supporting multi-platform access via computers, mobile devices, and popular web browsers. The digitized display space is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, allowing users to "visit" OCOP products on screen with a nearly realistic experience.

Notably, the OCOP Nghe An digital platform has integrated a multilingual artificial intelligence (AI) virtual assistant. The virtual assistant is capable of automatic narration, information searching, product consultation, and controlling 3D/360-degree spaces using voice or text. The application of AI not only enhances the user experience but also opens up broader access to domestic and international customers, especially in promotion, trade, and tourism activities.

According to the assessment of the Acceptance Council, the application of 3D/360 technology in the management and promotion of OCOP products is a suitable direction in line with the current trend of digital transformation. Through this model, state management agencies have an additional visual tool to monitor, supervise, and update product data; OCOP entities are effectively supported in introducing and promoting their products; and consumers have access to more complete, transparent, and vivid information.

Opinions at the meeting also suggested that the task has contributed to addressing long-standing limitations in the management and promotion of OCOP products, where information is fragmented and traditional methods of introduction do not meet the requirements of the digital market. Building a centralized database and a digitized display space is a crucial foundation for connecting OCOP products with e-commerce activities, rural tourism, and the promotion of local culture.

At the same time, it is suggested that in the future, the OCOP database should be maintained, updated, and expanded; interconnectedness with the digital platforms of departments, sectors, and localities should be strengthened; and attention should be paid to guidance and training so that OCOP entities can proactively exploit and effectively utilize the digital system.
