The premium Honda CUV e electric motorcycle will officially go on sale from March 26, 2026, with a flexible battery rental policy and a free battery swapping system at HEAD stations.

According to an announcement from Honda Vietnam (HVN), the e: CUV electric motorcycle will officially go on sale from March 26, 2026. This is a high-end electric vehicle that integrates many modern technologies to change the green transportation habits of Vietnamese users. The biggest highlight of this launch is the convenient battery swapping ecosystem and the accessible price thanks to a flexible battery leasing policy.

Pricing and ownership options for the Honda CUV e:

Honda Vietnam offers customers two options depending on their needs and budget. Specifically, if purchasing the complete package including 2 batteries and 2 chargers, the announced price is 65 million VND. Meanwhile, customers can choose to buy the vehicle without batteries for 45 million VND (still including 2 chargers), and then rent the batteries for 250,000 VND/month.

Mobile Power Pack e: ecosystem and free battery swapping stations

The Honda CUV e: uses the Mobile Power Pack e: (MPP) battery, developed and manufactured by Honda. Each battery weighs approximately 10kg, allowing users, including women, to easily remove and replace it. A special feature is that Honda Vietnam commits to waiving all battery swapping costs at its network of battery swapping stations located at HEAD dealerships selling electric vehicles.

With both batteries fully charged, the vehicle can travel a maximum distance of approximately 73 km. Charging from 0% to 100% at home takes about 6 hours. However, with the included NFC chip card, customers can quickly swap batteries at charging stations without waiting, making long-distance or cross-country travel more feasible.

Operational performance and safety technology

The power of the Honda CUV e: comes from a mid-mounted electric motor with a nominal output of 4.2 kW. Under maximum operating conditions, the motor can achieve a power output of 6.0 kW at 3,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 22 Nm at 2,300 rpm. The vehicle's top speed is limited to 80 km/h, suitable for urban traffic conditions.

The vehicle offers three driving modes: Standard, Sport, and Economy, which can be switched flexibly via a button on the steering wheel. Additionally, the reverse gear feature is a valuable addition, making it easier for users to maneuver in tight spaces. Safety features include disc brakes on both wheels, integrated CBS brake force distribution technology, and 12-inch tubeless tires on double five-spoke alloy wheels.
