With the arrival of spring, the youth of Nghe An also embark on a new beginning with a spirit of initiative and creativity. Not only are they enthusiastic in community activities, but the youth force is also making its mark through effective economic models and projects linked to practical needs.

Completed many meaningful projects and tasks.

In the early days of the Year of the Horse, visitors to the Ho Hung Dat Temple (village 9 Ngoc Son, Quynh Son commune) were all impressed by the youth project "Digitizing the National Historical Monument of Ho Hung Dat Temple".

The project was completed and launched during the recent Lunar New Year holiday, in time to serve the needs of the people and tourists from all over the country who come to visit, learn about, and worship during the spring days. By simply scanning the QR code with their phones, people and tourists can easily access information, images, and documents about the history and cultural value of the monument.

While scanning the QR code on her phone at the historical site, Ms. Ho Thi Hong Hai (born in 2007, residing in Hamlet 4, Ngoc Son, Quynh Son Commune) expressed her delight at having access to comprehensive information about the scholar Ho Hung Dat – who served as the governor of Chau Dien (covering the former districts of Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, and Quynh Luu) around the years 947-950.

"Scanning the QR code and reading the information, I understood that he was instrumental in attracting people, establishing settlements, building livelihoods, and achieving many great accomplishments. He was loved and trusted by the people, who erected a temple in his honor, revering him as the tutelary deity. After being restored, the structure has a new look, becoming an architectural masterpiece reflecting Vietnamese cultural identity, and also an important historical landmark. In 2014, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 4106/QD-BVHTT&DL classifying the Ho Hung Dat Temple as a national historical monument. Through this, I understand more, love more, and appreciate even more the value of this monument that has been preserved for generations," Ms. Hai confided.

Continuing this tradition, in recent days, the Thai Hoa Ward Youth Union has completed the youth project "VR360 – Digitizing the Lang Vac Archaeological Site". A 360-degree virtual tour space was created to comprehensively introduce the historical and cultural value of the site in an engaging and accessible way.

Digitizing historical sites not only makes it convenient for local people to research and learn about them, but also allows tourists from all over to access information quickly and vividly, especially the younger generation who are familiar with technology.

Currently, young people throughout the province have created more than 200 digital maps of "historical and cultural sites," and have digitized over 100 historical and cultural relics in the area. Through this, the historical and cultural value of these sites is disseminated more widely, contributing to raising awareness of preservation and promotion of traditions within the community.

Alongside the digitization of historical sites to serve the needs of the people during the New Year period, many social welfare activities are also being actively implemented.

Joining in the celebratory atmosphere of the Party and the Lunar New Year 2026, the youth of Van Hien commune, in coordination with partner organizations, organized a charity football tournament. At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 11 gifts worth a total of 5.5 million VND to families facing hardship and young people in difficult circumstances. The fundraising efforts will continue throughout the tournament to supplement the gifts, share the difficulties with those in need, and spread the spirit of mutual support and compassion in the early days of spring.

Pioneering economic development

Standing amidst the lush green tea hills of Con Nen (Hoa Son hamlet, Kim Bang commune), Nguyen Van Luat (born in 1994) couldn't hide his excitement as he spoke about his plans for the new year. His family currently cultivates 2 hectares of tea, and their plan for this year is to expand by another 1 hectare with a well-invested irrigation system.

From the farm area, the family has continued to plan the improvement of the roads connecting to the main road of the hamlet, to facilitate the transportation of supplies and the harvesting of agricultural products. The gradually completed infrastructure not only serves the family's production but also facilitates daily travel, contributing to changing the appearance of the previously disadvantaged hilly area.

Today's achievements didn't come overnight. It began more than a decade ago when Luat decided to stay in his hometown, transforming the barren hills into a thriving economic zone. From an initial trial planting of nearly 1 hectare of tea, he has now built a comprehensive farm model with over 10 hectares of acacia trees and 2 hectares of tea. The 7 hectares of acacia trees, harvested in June 2025, brought in over 700 million VND; the tea plantations maintain a stable profit of approximately 70 million VND per year. Through his determination to stay on the land, this young man has gradually built a solid foundation in the hilly region, affirming the effective path of youth economic development in his homeland.

Not only have individual economic models flourished, but collective economic activities have also seen significant progress. In particular, the Youth Volunteer Force – a unit directly under the Provincial Youth Union – continues to affirm its core role in organizing production and supporting the consumption of agricultural products for its members and local people.

During the Lunar New Year, the youth volunteer brigades proactively collaborated with and supported local people in consuming clean food products bearing their respective brands. Notable examples include tea, clean pork, and free-range chicken from Thanh Chuong Hill, produced by Youth Volunteer Brigade 5 in Nghe An, as well as indigenous black chicken from Youth Volunteer Brigades 8 and 9.

It is estimated that the total output supplied to the market will reach approximately 15 tons of live pigs and 7 tons of chickens, with estimated revenue of nearly 2 billion VND, contributing to stabilizing output and serving consumer demand during the Tet holiday.

According to Mr. Hoang Van Dong, Commander of the Nghe An Youth Volunteer Force, the total cultivated area of the various teams has reached nearly 760 hectares of tea and 18 hectares of turmeric, with a production value of over 25 billion VND. Along with crop cultivation, livestock farming has been boosted, with a total herd of 2,959 head of cattle and 37,500 head of poultry, with a total estimated production value of over 17.5 billion VND.

Entering the new year, Mr. Dong stated that the Youth Volunteer Force will continue to work alongside local people to expand production scale, improve the quality of agricultural products, and build sustainable supply chains. The teams also aim to form stable supply chains from production to consumption, expand markets beyond the province, gradually participate in e-commerce platforms, and diversify distribution channels. Simultaneously, they aim to create regular jobs for team members and local laborers, especially in remote and border areas.

Looking at the province as a whole, entering 2026, building upon the foundation of 1,575 youth economic development models, 196 grassroots clubs, 17 cooperatives, and 57 effective cooperative groups, the youth self-reliance and entrepreneurship movement will continue to be supported by various accompanying mechanisms and policies.

Preferential capital from the Social Policy Bank, startup support programs, technology transfer, vocational training, etc., are being disbursed promptly, creating further impetus for young people to boldly expand production.

"

In the coming period, the Youth Union will continue to guide its subordinate branches in implementing a comprehensive range of tasks, from building youth projects and initiatives to serve social welfare and support youth economic development.

The hope is that young people will not only be at the forefront of volunteer activities for the community, but also be pioneers in developing successful businesses in their hometowns. This opens up expectations for a new year filled with breakthroughs and sustainable development.
