Young men from Nghe An are ready to enlist in the army.
Ahead of the 2026 military enlistment day, from the high mountains to the coastal area of Cua Lo, the atmosphere in Nghe An province is solemn and warm as it bids farewell to new recruits. Thousands of young people, carrying pride, responsibility, and aspirations to contribute, are ready to enter the military environment.
Heartwarming farewells before enlistment.
In early March, many localities in Nghe An province were more bustling than usual. Meetings, gift-giving ceremonies, and motivational events for young men enlisting in the army were organized solemnly and warmly. Behind the handshakes and intimate meals lay the faith and expectations that families and authorities placed in the younger generation.

In Quy Chau commune, on March 4, 2026, 27 citizens officially set off to fulfill their military service obligations, including 25 young men joining the military and 2 citizens joining the People's Public Security Force. The meeting was simple but filled with warmth and affection.
Vi Dinh Trinh (19 years old, from Hoi 1 village) couldn't hide his excitement before the day he would wear the soldier's uniform. For Trinh, enlisting is not only a responsibility but also an opportunity for training and personal growth. Three days before his departure, his family prepared 10 trays of food to invite relatives and villagers to celebrate. The well wishes and encouraging pats on the shoulder became a source of spiritual support for the young man.

With the same mindset, Le Bao Quoc (19 years old, from Son village) clearly defined his goal when joining the army: to strive to train hard, complete his duties well, and after discharge, to learn a trade and seek employment opportunities.
Having graduated from high school in 2025, Quoc worked in an industrial park in Bac Ninh. Upon receiving the news that he was eligible for the recruitment examination, Quoc immediately returned to his hometown without hesitation. For him, serving the country is a great honor.

Attending the meeting with his son, Mr. Le Van Dinh - father of new recruit Le Bao Quoc - shared: The family is very proud and fully supports his son's participation in contributing to the Fatherland. He believes that the disciplined environment of the army will help his son to be trained, mature, and confidently pursue his dreams.
According to Captain Lang Manh Truong, Deputy Commander of the Quy Chau Commune Military Command, the local youth have a very high spirit of fulfilling their military service. All new recruits strictly adhere to regulations from the preparation stage. Before departure, many families organize informal gatherings to bid farewell to their sons and daughters "going to join the army," creating an atmosphere of excitement and morale boost.

Not only in Quy Chau commune, but many other communes and wards throughout the province also simultaneously organized gatherings for young people enlisting in the military and soldiers who had completed their service and returned to their localities. The ceremonies were warm and showed concern and provided further motivation for the younger generation.
In Cua Lo ward, on the afternoon of February 27, 2026, 37 citizens departed to fulfill their military and public security obligations; of which, 34 young men enlisted in units such as the Border Guard, Regiment 764, and Division 371, and 3 citizens fulfilled their public security obligations.

Mr. Phung Duc Nhan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo Ward, said: "This year's military recruitment work has seen many positive changes. A highlight is the spirit of voluntary enlistment, with 38 citizens voluntarily submitting applications to join the army. This demonstrates the enthusiastic response of young people and their families, as well as the high sense of responsibility of the younger generation."
New recruit Tran Anh Tien (19 years old, from Nghi Tan 7 ward) said: "I proactively wrote a volunteer application after receiving support from my family. Joining the army, I am determined not to be afraid of difficulties, to train hard, to complete my duties well, and to live up to the traditions of my homeland."

Over 3,800 young people from Nghe An will enlist in the army in 2026.
According to the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, in 2026, the entire province will have more than 3,800 citizens enlisting in the military. Of these, more than 35% volunteered; 26% are ethnic minority youths; over 75% meet health standards of categories 1 and 2; and more than 4.5% have university, college, or vocational school degrees.
The increasing number of young people with professional qualifications and strong political convictions voluntarily joining the military not only reflects a positive shift in awareness and sense of responsibility, but also demonstrates the attractiveness of the training environment in the military and people's police.

This year, Nghe An province is fulfilling its military recruitment targets according to the general plan of the Government and the Ministry of National Defense. The handover ceremony will take place on March 5th at 7 locations throughout the province. Preparations have been completed, ready for the moment when the new recruits officially walk through the barracks gates.
Before their departure, each family shared warm embraces and simple yet profound words of advice. When the drums signaled the start of military service, the nineteen and twenty-year-old boys from the mountainous region of Quy Chau to the coastal area of Cua Lo would leave their familiar homes, carrying with them the pride of their families and the traditions of their homeland, officially beginning their journey of training and maturation in the military environment.
