Solemn Inauguration Ceremony of the Le Duc Tuy Temple
On the morning of March 28th (corresponding to the 10th day of the 2nd lunar month of the Year of the Horse), in Nhan Hau village, Kim Lien commune, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Le Family Council, solemnly organized the inauguration ceremony of the project to restore and renovate the National Historical Monument of Le Duc Tuy's tomb and temple.

Attending the event were members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam: Thai Thanh Quy - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Policy and Strategy Board; Hoang Trung Dung - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Organization Board; Le Quoc Minh - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Board, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association;Nguyen Duy Lam -Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee.
Also attending the event was Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Full-time Member of the Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation.
On the Nghệ An province side, there was Comrade Nguyễn Khắc Thận - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with representatives from relevant departments, agencies, units, and localities, and a large number of descendants of the Lê family from all over the country.

The tomb and temple of Le Duc Tuy is a place of worship dedicated to Vinh Phuc Ba Le Duc Tuy, a high-ranking official in Anh Do Prefecture during the reign of Le Thanh Tong, who made significant contributions to the reclamation and establishment of villages in the Dong Nhan area (now part of Kim Lien commune). Over more than 500 years of existence, with the attention of the authorities at all levels, the consensus of the people, and the determination of generations of descendants, the site has been increasingly preserved and its value enhanced, becoming a representative cultural and spiritual landmark of the Kim Lien region.
Vinh Phuc Baron Le Duc Tuy was a high-ranking official who rendered great service during the Le Dynasty, having served as the commander of the Anh Do region.Nghe AnBorn into a poor but scholarly family with a strong tradition of learning, at the age of 16, he passed the Hương Cống examination (in 1459) and returned to Nho Lâm village to teach and instill moral values in his students.

In 1467, at the age of 23, he passed the entrance exam to the Imperial Academy and later became the administrator of Anh Do Prefecture. Throughout his time as an official, he always lived honestly, dedicating his talent and virtue to serving the people and the country. King Le Thanh Tong bestowed upon him the title of Vinh Phuc Baron and granted him the royal decree "Duc Bao Trung Hung, Linh Phu Ton Than".
Not only was Mr. Le Duc Tuy an upright official, but he also made significant contributions to the revitalization of the Dong Nhan area (now part of Kim Lien commune). Using his prestige, he mobilized the people to reclaim the alluvial plains and swamps, creating fertile rice fields and giving rise to place names that still exist today, such as Con But, Con Mua Cua, Dong Cay Da, Bau Hoa, etc.

In remembrance of his merits, after his death in 1516, the people erected a temple to worship him, offering incense year-round. The tomb and temple of Le Duc Tuy were classified as a National Historical Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in December 2017.
In 2025, to preserve and promote the value of the national-level historical site, the Provincial People's Committee approved a restoration and renovation project with a total investment of over 29.5 billion VND from the provincial budget, covering an area of 7,488 m². Accordingly, the main items to be restored include: the Left and Right Pavilions, the Lower Hall; the restoration of the Middle Hall, Upper Hall, the Ceremonial Gate, and the Main Gate. Simultaneously, a new main gate, a Management Board building combined with an exhibition area will be constructed; the Jade Well, the tomb area, and supporting facilities such as the festival grounds, parking lot, and green spaces will be renovated.

After nearly a year of construction, the project has been completed and is ready for use, serving the needs of people and tourists for sightseeing and worship. It contributes to the preservation and honoring of the value of the historical site, enriching the cultural heritage system in the area, creating a highlight in the development of spiritual and cultural tourism, and serving as a place for traditional education for present and future generations.

At the same time, key tasks for the future were outlined to ensure the continued preservation and effective promotion of the Le Duc Tuy tomb and temple. Specifically, these include maintaining healthy cultural and religious activities that honor our ancestors and educate about the tradition of "remembering the source when drinking water"; strengthening the dissemination and promotion of the relic's value; and connecting the relic with other destinations in the region, gradually forming a distinctive cultural and spiritual tourism product.
Representing the Le clan council, Mr. Le Hong Quang also expressed his gratitude for the attention and support from various departments, agencies, and localities in the project to restore and renovate the National Historical Monument of Le Duc Tuy's tomb and temple. Affirming the importance of the project, Mr. Quang called on his descendants to continue to unite, build upon the achievements already made, and contribute their intellect and efforts to building a stronger and more prosperous Kim Lien homeland, worthy of the glorious traditions of their ancestors.

This church inauguration ceremony is an opportunity for descendants of the Le family and local people to express their respect and gratitude for the merits of their ancestors. It is also a meaningful cultural and spiritual activity, contributing to the education of the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source" and the spirit of learning for future generations.
