The VinFast VF 8, launched in March 2026, has a starting price of 1.019 billion VND. This D-segment electric SUV receives a 10% discount on the list price along with a 100% exemption from registration fees from the Government.
The VinFast VF 8 continues to maintain its appeal in the D-SUV segment in the Vietnamese market thanks to its combination of modern design, advanced technology, and attractive incentive policies. This model competes directly with rivals using internal combustion engines such as the Hyundai Santa Fe, Mazda CX-8, and Ford Everest.

In March 2026, VinFast launched a program offering a 10% discount on the listed price, equivalent to a reduction of 102–120 million VND depending on the version. In addition, the policy of 100% exemption from registration fees for battery-powered electric vehicles under Decree 51/2025/ND-CP has been extended until February 28, 2027, significantly reducing the overall cost for consumers.

Notably, VinFast officially discontinued its battery leasing policy on March 1, 2025. To support customers, the company extended the free battery charging policy for another six months, until June 30, 2027, for owners of electric vehicles with batteries.

The VinFast VF 8 has overall dimensions of 4,750 x 1,900 x 1,660 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. The car is designed according to the "Dynamic Balance" design language, resulting in a harmonious yet powerful appearance.
The front of the car is distinguished by a characteristic V-shaped LED strip that wraps around the VinFast logo. The lighting system uses full LED technology. The body of the car impresses with 19-20 inch multi-spoke wheels, combined with luxurious chrome details on the door edges and running boards.
Minimalist interior design and AI technology create a new world.
The VF 8's cabin space is optimized in a minimalist style, eliminating the traditional instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and replacing it with a head-up display (HUD). At the center of the dashboard is a 15.6-inch touchscreen integrating all control functions.
The biggest technological highlight is the VinFast Virtual Assistant, which integrates generative AI. This technology allows the system to learn and update real-world information from the internet to interact more naturally and intelligently with users. This feature is currently available on the Plus version and will soon be updated to the Eco version via software.

The VinFast VF 8 is equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD) on both versions, using an 87.7 kWh CATL battery. The Eco version offers 350 horsepower with a range of 471 km, while the Plus version achieves 402 horsepower and a range of 457 km on a single charge.

In terms of safety, the car boasts 11 airbags and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) package that includes features such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), Stop & Go, lane keeping assist, automatic lane change, and pre-collision warning. This model aims for the highest safety standards from NHTSA, Euro NCAP, and ASEAN NCAP.
