According to updates from key localities, the prices of fresh rice of all types remained unchanged compared to the end of last week. High-quality rice varieties such as OM 18 and Dai Thom 8 continued to lead in terms of market price.

Raw and finished rice market
For raw rice intended for export, prices of key commodities remained stable. Specifically, Dai Thom 8 rice traded at 9,200 – 9,400 VND/kg, the highest price among raw rice varieties. OM 18 and OM 5451 rice fluctuated around 8,900 – 9,100 VND/kg and 8,450 – 8,550 VND/kg respectively.
In the retail segment, prices of common rice varieties remained unchanged. Nang Nhen rice maintained its price at 28,000 VND/kg, while fragrant rice varieties such as Thai long-grain and Taiwanese rice ranged from 20,000 to 22,000 VND/kg. Common white rice remained stable at 16,000 VND/kg.
Notably, in the by-product group, the price of fragrant rice bran 504 recorded a slight decrease of 50 VND/kg, down to 7,600 – 7,700 VND/kg. Conversely, the price of rice bran remained stable at around 10,500 – 11,500 VND/kg.

On the world market, the export price of Vietnamese rice continues to remain stable compared to major regional competitors such as Thailand and India. Currently, Vietnamese 5% broken rice is being offered at the highest price among leading exporting countries.
