Huawei Pura 90 series specifications revealed: 200MP telephoto camera and 6,500 mAh battery in a slim body.

Huawei is expected to officially launch the Pura 90 series and the Pura X Max foldable phone in the Chinese market on April 20th. The latest leaks from tech insiders have detailed the hardware specifications, battery capacity, and camera system of the three main versions: Pura 90, Pura 90 Pro, and Pura 90 Pro Max.

Differences in screen size and technology

According to data from leak expert Bald Panda, the standard version of the Huawei Pura 90 will feature a 6.84-inch flat screen with 1.5K resolution. Notably, despite having a large 6,500 mAh battery, the device maintains an impressively slim 6.9 mm profile and weighs 203 grams.

Meanwhile, the Pura 90 Pro uses a smaller, flat panel measuring 6.59 inches (1.5K resolution), coupled with a 6,000 mAh battery. The top-of-the-line version, the Pura 90 Pro Max, boasts a 6.87-inch screen with the same display resolution. Due to the integration of many complex hardware technologies, the Pro Max version has a body thickness of 8.5 mm and weighs 232 grams.

The Pro Max version features a 200MP periscope camera system.

Photography capabilities continue to be a key focus of the Pura line. Sources indicate that the Pura 90 Pro will feature a triple camera setup: a 50-megapixel main sensor (1/1.28-inch size), a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. This system is further supported by a multispectral sensor to optimize color reproduction.

The Pura 90 Pro Max version features a more powerful upgrade, replacing the telephoto lens with a periscope sensor boasting a resolution of up to 200 megapixels. This change demonstrates Huawei's ambition to lead the professional photography smartphone segment.

9 series processors and hardware durability

Both high-end versions of the Pro series are rumored to use the brand-new 9 series processor, affirming Huawei's technological autonomy. The devices are also equipped with modern security standards such as 2D facial recognition and IP68 water and dust resistance.

In particular, the entire product range will be protected by the new generation Kunlun tempered glass, enhancing its resistance to impact and scratches during daily use.
