Two trade union "leaders" in Nghe An province were commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Comrade Le Van Son and Comrade Nguyen Van Quynh are two of the 101 grassroots trade union chairmen honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as outstanding grassroots trade union chairmen in collective dialogue and negotiation in 2026.

On April 28th, in Hanoi, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a ceremony to commemorate the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1st, 1886 - May 1st, 2026) and honored 101 outstanding grassroots trade union chairpersons for their excellent work in collective dialogue and negotiation in 2026.

Comrade Le Van Son - Chairman of the Trade Union of Haivina Kim Lien Co., Ltd. and Comrade Nguyen Van Quynh - Chairman of the Trade Union of An Nam Matsuoka Co., Ltd. are two representatives of Nghe An province who were honored on this occasion.

The contributions of comrades Le Van Son and Nguyen Van Quynh are clearly demonstrated in their proactive negotiation and development of collective labor agreements with many clauses more favorable than those stipulated by law, contributing to improved welfare for workers and the development of the enterprise.

As the Chairman of the Trade Union of Haivina Kim Lien Co., Ltd., Comrade Le Van Son currently represents more than 2,300 union members and workers. Known as a dynamic, dedicated, and highly respected trade union official among both workers and the company's management, Comrade Le Van Son is the "conductor" of collective bargaining agreements that benefit the workers.

The most notable achievement in Comrade Son's career was his leadership in negotiating and signing a collective labor agreement with many clauses that were significantly more favorable than those stipulated by law. This agreement was rated B by the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor.

COLLECTIVE LABOR AGREEMENT OF HAVINA KIM LIEN CO., LTD.

Leave entitlement: Employees who have worked for 12 months are entitled to 14 days of annual leave (the law stipulates 12 days); if they do not use all of their leave, they will be paid 300% of their salary.

Healthcare: The company covers all medical expenses, hospital fees, and full salary for employees during treatment for work-related accidents or occupational diseases; it also organizes periodic health check-ups twice a year.

Allowances and bonuses: Childcare support for children under 6 years old (50,000 VND/child/month), meal allowance (25,000 VND/person), attendance bonus (300,000 VND/month), along with 13th-month salary bonus, productivity bonus and various other allowances such as housing and transportation.

In addition, Comrade Son has been very active in humanitarian work, leading fundraising efforts and supporting the construction of 45 "Trade Union Shelters," and providing assistance to workers affected by natural disasters and serious illnesses, with a total expenditure of billions of VND. For these contributions, he has continuously received Certificates of Merit from the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor (in 2023, 2024, and 2025) and Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province.

Similar to Comrade Le Van Son, Comrade Nguyen Van Quynh - Chairman of the Trade Union of An Nam Matsuoka Co., Ltd. - has always stood side-by-side with more than 2,520 workers in the enterprise. He is considered a responsible trade union official, always closely involved with the grassroots level to promptly listen to and resolve the requests of union members.

Under Comrade Quynh's leadership, dialogue within the enterprise is maintained regularly three times a year, helping to preserve stability in labor relations and prevent disputes. The Collective Labor Agreement, which Comrade Quynh directly participated in drafting (valid until 2028), has provided a very diverse system of benefits for workers.

COLLECTIVE LABOR AGREEMENT OF AN NAM MATSUOKA CO., LTD.

Living allowance: Lunch allowance (600,000 VND/month), housing allowance (400,000 to 700,000 VND/month), transportation allowance (300,000 VND/month), and bus fare allowance.

Special treatment for female workers: Female workers receive a physiological allowance and are entitled to a 30-minute break per day during menstruation (3 days/month) with a higher salary than the standard rate (150%).

Income Guarantee: The company commits to paying 100% of wages when employees have to stop working due to company errors or unforeseen circumstances such as power or water outages.

Comrade Quynh also strongly initiated emulation movements such as "Excellent Workers, Creative Workers," 5S, and occupational safety and hygiene. Activities like "Tet Reunion," "Trade Union Meal," and summer cooling programs have created a close-knit and united working environment. With her continuous efforts, she has been honored with the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Grassroots Trade Union Cadre from the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor for many consecutive years.

According to the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor: In the work of dialogue and collective bargaining, the dynamism and responsibility of trade union officials play a key role in building harmonious labor relations.

In Nghe An, comrades Le Van Son and Nguyen Van Quynh are exemplary figures of creativity, daring to think and act, always striving to bring the most practical benefits to union members and workers. Being commended is a recognition of their individual contributions and affirms the role of the trade union in accompanying businesses towards sustainable development and better caring for the lives of workers in industrial zones in the area.
