According to reports from local authorities, the natural disaster that occurred on May 3rd caused extremely serious economic losses.
In Thanh Binh Tho commune, the total estimated damage is over 51 billion VND. The storm ripped off roofs and damaged 308 houses, affected 147 hectares of rice fields, and, most notably, caused 140 hectares of acacia forest to be broken and felled. Public infrastructure was also significantly impacted, with 5 schools and 3 health stations damaged, with Tho Son Health Station suffering the most severe damage.

Notably, the Cay Mit bridge spanning the Con River has a pier that is approximately 30cm out of alignment with the bridge deck, posing a threat to traffic safety.

The total economic damage to the commune is estimated at approximately 4.9 billion VND, including 117 hectares of rice fields affected and 150,000 acacia seedlings damaged.

Given the scale of damage caused by the storm and hailstorm, the leaders of the two communes have requested that the province promptly develop plans for assistance.
Thanh Binh Tho commune has requested that the province promptly develop a plan to provide financial support to the locality to repair public works, especially transportation infrastructure and key medical and educational facilities.

Mau Thach commune proposed direct support for residents with minor roof damage and households with severe damage. In addition, the commune requested funding for the repair of the Phai Chang irrigation dam and continued allocation of funds for the Dong Tam bridge project to ensure its completion before the rainy season.
After conducting an on-site inspection and listening to reports, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Hoang Nghia Hieu, acknowledged the proactive approach of the local government in mobilizing the "four on-the-spot" forces to help people repair their houses and stabilize their lives in the initial stages.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that localities accurately assess the damage and ensure full legal procedures are followed to provide timely and targeted support, avoiding policy abuse or overlooking needy families.
In particular, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu noted that localities must not be complacent, need to continue closely monitoring weather developments, and be ready with plans for disaster prevention and control in the upcoming peak months; and to thoroughly implement the "four on-the-spot" principle to proactively respond and avoid being caught off guard by unexpected weather developments during the rainy and stormy season.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu acknowledged the recommendations regarding funding for repairing public transportation infrastructure from the localities, and stated that he would consider and prioritize allocating contingency funds from the disaster relief budget to promptly repair these facilities, ensuring students' education and agricultural irrigation.
