The VTV Cup 2026 International Volleyball Tournament is expected to be held in Phu Tho, and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team aims for the highest possible ranking.

According to the plan, the VTV Cup 2026 International Tournament will be held in Phu Tho. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate with the goal of achieving the highest possible ranking, thereby meeting the expectations of fans and further affirming their position in the regional arena.

Last season, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his players reached the final of the VTV Cup 2025. However, the team lost 2-3 to Korabelka (Russia) and had to settle for the runner-up position.

The VTV Cup 2026 International Tournament will be an opportunity for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to review and prepare their squad for the 20th Asian Games. This year, the women's indoor volleyball competition at the 20th Asian Games is scheduled to take place from September 16th to 22nd.

Ahead of the VTV Cup, from June 6th to 14th, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will participate in their first international tournament of the year, the AVC Cup 2026, held in the Philippines. This is an important platform for the players to gain experience against strong opponents in the Asian region.

In 2026, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will undertake many important international missions, including the AVC Cup 2026, SEA V.League 2026, VTV Cup 2026, Asian Championship 2026, and ASIAD 20. The packed schedule requires the coaching staff to carefully consider the physical fitness and tactics of the athletes.

In their last five consecutive appearances at the VTV Cup, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has reached the final each time. They won the championship in 2018 and 2023, and finished second in 2019, 2024, and 2025. This consistent performance demonstrates that Vietnamese women's volleyball is always among the top contenders in the tournament.

At the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation for the 2026-2031 term, recently held in Hanoi, the Executive Committee identified its main task as continuing to develop the international achievements of the women's national volleyball team.

Based on that orientation, through each training phase, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will receive appropriate investment in professional skills, nutrition, and training conditions, ensuring the achievement of the goals set for the 2026 season.
