The price of textbooks from the Knowledge Connection program has decreased by 13.3%.
The price of the "Connecting Knowledge with Life" textbook series for grades 1 to 12 in the 2026-2027 school year will decrease by an average of 13.3% compared to the current price.
The Vietnam Education Publishing House stated that it has reduced production and distribution costs to lower textbook prices for the new school year. However, the publisher has not yet announced the specific price for each book or the price for a complete set for each grade level.
Last year, the price of textbooks in the "Connecting Knowledge with Life" series from grades 1 to 12 ranged from nearly 190,000 VND to approximately 400,000 VND. The highest price depended on the number of subjects and elective topics in grades 10, 11, and 12.
The lowest price currently applies to grade 2 textbooks. With a 13.3% reduction, the price of the grade 2 textbook set will be approximately 25,000 VND lower than the previous school year.

The 2026-2027 school year marks the return of a unified set of textbooks nationwide, after five years of implementing the policy of "one curriculum, multiple textbooks".
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the "Connecting Knowledge with Life" series published by Vietnam Education Publishing House was selected because it fully met the requirements and "stood out" from the other series. The governing body also assessed its revision capabilities and readiness for implementation as the highest.
This year, the Ministry of Education and Training approved revisions to 11 textbooks, focusing on History and Geography, as well as Economics and Law Education. The purpose of the revisions is to update the new administrative boundaries and the latest socio-economic statistics.
Updated content will be published online for teachers, parents, and students to easily follow. For books printed before 2025, teachers and students can continue to use them as reference materials; it is not necessary to purchase entirely new ones.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training had also planned to implement a policy of providing free textbooks for students nationwide, starting from the 2029-2030 school year.
The implementation method involves students borrowing books from the school library. After use, students must return the books so that future generations can continue to use them. In case of damage, students must compensate according to regulations.
