Euro exchange rate on May 11th: Banks show mixed results, black market rates slightly decrease.
On the morning of May 11th, the Euro exchange rate at commercial banks showed a clear divergence, with the highest quoted rate reaching 32,264 VND. Meanwhile, the free market continued its downward trend in both buying and selling rates.
Today's Euro exchange rate (May 11th) at domestic commercial banks showed inconsistent adjustments. While some institutions like Vietcombank and Eximbank increased their listed rates, others such as Techcombank and Sacombank slightly reduced them. Notably, the free foreign exchange market witnessed its second consecutive day of price declines.
Exchange rate movements at commercial banks
According to a survey conducted at 8:45 AM, Vietcombank listed the Euro exchange rate at 30,171 VND/EUR (buying) and 31,762 VND/EUR (selling), an increase of 97 VND and 103 VND respectively compared to the previous session. At Eximbank, the buying price increased by 18 VND to 30,449 VND/EUR and the selling price increased by 26 VND to 31,809 VND/EUR.
Conversely, Techcombank adjusted its buying rate down by 44 dong and its selling rate down by 51 dong, bringing the exchange rate to 30,317 - 31,703 VND/EUR. Sacombank also recorded a slight decrease, currently listing at 30,508 VND/EUR (buying) and 32,264 VND/EUR (selling). This is also the bank with the highest buying and selling rates in the surveyed system.
At BIDV specifically, the Euro exchange rate remained stable, staying at 30,506 VND/EUR for buying and 31,829 VND/EUR for selling.

The euro continues to depreciate in the free market.
At the same time as the survey, the Euro exchange rate on the black market recorded a consistent downward trend. Specifically, the buying price was around 30,839 VND/EUR and the selling price was approximately 30,959 VND/EUR, a decrease of 39 dong and 19 dong respectively compared to yesterday. Currently, the spread between the buying and selling prices on the free market is maintained at 120 dong.
Overall, the buying price of Euros at banks is fluctuating between 30,171 and 30,508 VND/EUR, while the selling price commonly ranges from 31,703 to 32,264 VND/EUR. Techcombank currently offers the lowest selling price on the market.
