Closing ceremony and awarding of the Pickleball prize for Youth Union and Association officials of Nghe An province in 2026.

On May 16th, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held the closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the 2026 Pickleball Competition for Youth Union and Association officials in Nghe An province.

Attending the program were Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union; People's Artist Xuan Bac - Director of the Department of Performing Arts, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; and relevant partner units.

This tournament is organized to maintain and develop the sports movement, improve the spiritual life and health, and strengthen interaction and solidarity among Youth Union and Association officials and young people throughout the province.

The tournament attracted athletes from the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee, the Youth Union Executive Committees of communes and wards, affiliated Youth Unions; and members of the Vietnam Youth Union Committees of communes and wards throughout the province.

The competition will be a mixed doubles event with 50 teams participating, with each competition cluster sending 5 teams. The tournament will take place over two days, May 15-16, 2026.

The teams are divided into 8 groups, playing a round-robin format to select the top two teams from each group to advance to the knockout stage.

In the group stage, matches are played in a format of one set to 13 points. From the knockout round onwards, teams play one set to 15 points. The final match, however, is played in a one-set to 19 points to determine the champion.

Ultimately, the first prize went to the pair of athletes Nguyen Tat Luu - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Social Insurance Department and Pham Ngoc Bao - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Department of Internal Affairs, both from the Creative Cluster unit.

Second place went to the pair of athletes Pham Van Dung and Pham Hai Tai from the North Central Mobile Police Regiment's grassroots unit.
