The Swiss squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be their sixth consecutive call-up for the world's biggest tournament after qualifying last November.

Switzerland officially secured their ticket to the 2026 World Cup after a tense, last-minute match against Kosovo. A different result might have forced the team into a play-off round to compete for a place in the finals. However, coach Murat Yakin's players did what it took to successfully reach the finish line.

Despite not possessing one of the strongest squads in the tournament and not being considered a contender for the title, Switzerland still boasts many talented players competing in top European leagues. This marks the sixth consecutive World Cup appearance for Swiss football – a proud achievement for a nation with a small population.

The Swiss squad includes Manuel Akanji – the central defender currently playing for Inter Milan; Gregor Kobel – the number one goalkeeper of Borussia Dortmund; Dan Ndoye, who plays for Nottingham Forest; and Noah Okafor, who recently moved to Leeds United. These are names that many Vietnamese football fans are familiar with through matches in the Champions League and Premier League.

In addition, the team also includes Denis Zakaria (Monaco), Remo Freuler (Bologna), Breel Embolo (Rennes), Ruben Vargas (Sevilla), Ardon Jashari (AC Milan), and Djibril Sow (Sevilla) - all experienced players from top European national leagues.
