Dat Bike Era electric motorbike launched: 50-liter storage compartment, 15-minute charge for 30km range, price starting from 29.9 million VND.

Following the success of the Weaver and Quantum models, Vietnamese electric motorcycle brand Dat Bike has just introduced the all-new Era model. This model is optimized for daily urban commuting needs with a range of technological features and flexible handling capabilities.

Side Motor system optimizes performance.

The biggest difference between the Dat Bike Era and its competitors in the same price range is the side-mounted motor. This configuration is usually only found on high-end electric bikes due to its optimized power transmission, superior water resistance, and easier maintenance compared to motors mounted directly to the rear wheel (in-hub).

The Era's 5 kW motor allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0–40 km/h in 3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 82 km/h. Drivers can flexibly switch between 4 operating modes:

• Parking mode (P):Safety stop mode, disables the throttle.
• Driving mode (D):Energy efficient and operates smoothly in city driving.
• S (Super) mode:Optimize power for situations requiring overtaking.
• Reverse (R) mode:The reverse mode assists in maneuvering the vehicle in parking lots.

Users can easily change these modes via the MODE/SEAT button on the right handlebar. The vehicle also has the ability to remember the operating mode from the most recent trip.

Advanced driver assistance and safety technology

The Dat Bike Era is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster that integrates smartphone connectivity and GPS navigation. For enhanced security, it includes Antithief technology, Auto Lock (automatic rear wheel locking), and Call My Bike (vehicle locator).

Notably, the Era boasts driver assistance features commonly found in cars, such as Cruise Control to maintain a stable speed and Hill Assist. In addition, the engine braking system allows for the regeneration of battery power whenever the driver releases the accelerator, optimizing the actual driving range.

High-capacity battery and flexible fast charging capabilities.

The vehicle uses a 4.3 kWh lithium battery pack, providing a driving range of up to 200 km on a single full charge. Notably, the charger is integrated inside the vehicle, eliminating the need for users to carry a bulky separate charging device.

Dat Bike distributes the Era in two versions, differing in charging technology:

• Version E1:It supports 3 charging modes (Standard, Fast, Boost). Boost mode only takes 15 minutes of charging to provide an additional 30 km of range, while Fast charging fully charges the battery in 2 hours and 15 minutes.
• Version E2:Using only standard charging mode, the battery takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge.

Practical design with a 50-liter trunk capacity.

The Dat Bike Era has overall dimensions of 1,860 x 680 x 1,115 mm and weighs 112 kg, making it suitable for the physique of Vietnamese people. The flat footrest provides a comfortable riding position. The biggest highlight of its appearance is the under-seat storage compartment with a capacity of up to 50 liters, surpassing the 37 liters of the Honda Lead, allowing it to hold multiple helmets and personal items simultaneously.

On the top-of-the-line E1 version, the vehicle is also equipped with a USB charging port, daytime running lights, and a CBS combined braking system to enhance safety when handling emergency situations.

Price and technical specifications

Currently, the Dat Bike Era is sold at a price of 29.9 million VND for the E2 version (black) and from 32.9 million VND for the E1 version. The price includes VAT, battery, and integrated charger.
