Miss Ethnic Tourism Vietnam 2025 runner-up Kha Thi Tho had a meaningful journey accompanying the television program "Colors of the Village" of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television – where she directly played the role of presenter and introduced the most authentic footage about Thai brocade.
Taking viewers into the world of weaving practiced by the Thai ethnic group.
Not only did Kha Thi Tho appear as a beautiful guest, but she also joined MC Tran Do and artisan Sam Thi Bich from Ban Hoa Tien, Quy Chau, in directly participating in each stage of the crafting process to create a complete brocade fabric.
In this journey, viewers will join Kha Thi Tho in discovering how the Thai people dye their silk, using various forest leaves to create natural, long-lasting colors without the need for harmful chemicals. Each silk thread, after being dyed, undergoes a meticulous drying and rinsing process under the sun and wind of the western region of Nghe An province, preparing for its initial shaping.

Sitting beside a traditional loom, runner-up Kha Thi Tho and other artisans will decipher the meaning of unique patterns such as rhombus shapes, bauhinia flowers, elephants, ducks, etc. Each thread tells a story of love for nature and people, woven by Thai women through generations.
"The Colors of the Village" is a television series promoting and introducing the unique culture of Western Nghe An, especially the Customs and traditions need to be preserved and maintained.
The program is presented in the form of a documentary-style cultural tourism experience, aiming to introduce and honor the beauty of traditional culture. The cultures of the Thai, Mong, Tho, Kho Mu, O Du, and Dan Lai ethnic groups will be recreated to affirm the vitality and richness of Nghe An's culture.
