Tornadoes and heavy rains cause damage in Anh Son Dong.
At approximately 3 PM on May 28th, a severe thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rain swept through Anh Son Dong commune, causing serious damage to property, infrastructure, and crops.
The natural disaster caused significant damage to the locality in many areas: More than 3 hectares of crops (mainly zucchini and cucumbers) that were in their growth stage were suddenly completely flattened. The estimated economic damage amounts to hundreds of millions of dong.
Strong winds completely knocked down 6 power poles in 5 locations, damaging nearly 2,000 meters of power lines along with the entire system of insulators and accessories. This serious incident caused widespread power outages throughout the commune.
The storm also severely affected the offices of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and the Public Service Center. The storm ripped off the tiled roofs and completely collapsed the plastic ceilings of five offices. Many pieces of technological equipment, such as computers and video cameras, were damaged by rainwater leaks.
