Police investigate incident involving man spraying water on tourists in Cua Lo.

After a video clip showing a man spraying water from a hose at a neighboring shop, causing many tourists to stand up and avoid it, went viral on social media, the Cua Lo Ward Police (Nghe An Province) quickly launched an investigation. Initially, authorities determined that the incident stemmed from a business dispute between the vendors.

Previously, a video circulated on Facebook showing a man repeatedly spraying water from a hose at a neighboring business while many tourists were sitting and using the services. According to the video, many people were surprised, and some customers had to stand up to avoid being splashed with water.

According to reports posted on social media, the incident occurred on the evening of June 25th at an amusement park in Cua Lo Ward. Several people present at the scene reacted to the man's actions. After the video was shared, the incident quickly attracted public attention, with many expressing outrage and urging authorities to promptly investigate and handle the matter if any violations were found.

On June 26th, the Cua Lo Ward Police announced that immediately after receiving the complaint, they promptly implemented measures to verify the information, gather documents, and work with relevant individuals to clarify the incident in accordance with the law.

The ward police invited Mr. N.D.C and Ms. CTN, the owners of stalls at the amusement park, to come in for questioning. Initial verification determined that the incident stemmed from a business dispute between the vendors. Due to the conflict, Mr. N.D.C allegedly sprayed water from a hose into the neighboring stall, as depicted in the video circulating on social media.

According to the Cua Lo Ward Police, the handling of the case was carried out objectively, transparently, and in accordance with proper procedures, ensuring that any violations (if any) were considered and strictly dealt with according to regulations; while also protecting the legitimate rights and interests of all parties involved. Currently, the case is still under investigation and clarification.

Previously, the People's Committee of Cua Lo Ward also issued a document requesting the Ward Police to take the lead and coordinate with relevant units and individuals to inspect, verify, and clarify the content of the complaints on social media; determine the cause and responsibility of the parties involved and strictly handle violations according to regulations if detected.

The People's Committee of the ward requested the tourism company to cooperate in providing information to assist in the verification process; to strengthen the management of business and service establishments in the amusement park; and to instruct business owners and employees to strictly adhere to regulations on commercial etiquette and cultural conduct in tourism, preventing any instances of customer poaching, disorderly conduct, or inappropriate behavior towards customers and between business establishments.

For the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Cua Lo Ward, the Ward People's Committee has assigned the task of advising on solutions to rectify tourism service business activities, improve cultural conduct, and build a civilized tourism environment in the area. The verification results are required to be reported to the Ward People's Committee before June 29, 2026.

The Cua Lo Ward Police also advised people not to share, comment on, or spread unverified information on social media, to avoid affecting the verification process and distorting the nature of the incident. All official information will be released by the competent authorities after the verification is concluded.
